Is it due to the install or are they made differently by certain companies?

The ones we sell go to the end of the hood (front & back) & wrap around the edge a little. We design them on a CAD based program and test fit them until they look correct. We use both Avery & 3M material depending on the color you order, both brands good quality material that will last for 7 to 9 years.

Has anyone handled both ridergraphix and thecamarodecalstore stripes and could comment on the quality of each? At half the price for thecamarodecalstore I have concerns about the quality and longevity of the material. Is it the same Avery/3M stuff the more expensive vendors are using?

I have handled both - my spears are Rider, my underhood decal and blackouts are thecamarodecalstore. Both were of good quaility. I have not handled the decals stores spears specifically so I can not say they are identical. They were both good to deal with as companies and they both stand behind there products.

Lookin good. I wound up grabbing the set from thecamarodecalstore. I had to pace around the house a few times before I could build up the courage to peel the backing off and get to installing them but once I did it was a breeze. Just use lots of slightly soapy water and you have a good minute or two to position them perfectly before they start to stick firmly.

For my first ever stripe install, I'm very pleased with how straight I got them. The material also seems high quality so any product quality concerns I had are all clear now!

Looks great, how did you order them with the outline around the edges? I didn't see any that looked like that on their site.
