I actually had this happen after i had my car after i got my first oil change. The check Airbag lite would intermittantly come on. I took it back and the resolution for my problem was a loose wire under the driver seat that i suppose connects an airbag sensor of some sort. I'd say see if you can find the wire (i havent actually looked for it) and verify its connected. If all looks good id say take it to a dealer. Hope I helped some.

I also had the same problem. The dealer said it could have been debri under the seat. Also adjust your seat he said that if you are positioned too close to the stearing wheel it could throw the light on. After he repositioned the seat and cleared under my seat of junk I had the light stayed off.

Mine came on with only about 500 miles on the car. It only happened during one trip home from the mall. The dealer said that if the seat is adjusted, which I did to get my 5 year old in the back, that sometimes it throws off the sensor. They said they made some kind of "parameter" adjustment to the sensors when I brought it in and it hasn't happened again...currently at 1100 miles. Also I was told that there was a service bulletin out on this.

Mine had come on a cpl of times also started last week going to take it in for service this week before heading to Camaro fest. I have no passagers that ride in the car or adjust the passanger seats on a regular basis. From your description of the diagnostics does not sound like anything serious.
