Just wondering how many folks on here live in Alaska an what area you live in.

I spent about 25 years living and working in North Pole and now have lived and work in Delta Junctions for the last 10 years.

Bought the 2ss/RS in first part of Jan, 2010 in Anchorage

Cool, thought I saw two others in here the other day from the Fairbanks area. I wonder how many others are out enjoying the dry roads and not on the computer.

Avalanche, did yours come in yet? which dealer did ya end up using. I used Litha South Anchorage, they had what I wanted in stock. I wanted to use Alaska Sales and Service but they couldn't help me this time. I have bought a few vehicles from them in the past.

I'm gonna be moving to Kodiak, AK in June and own a black 1SS/RS M6. I was wondering if anyone has driven the ALCAN in there Camaro and how difficult is it to get 93 octane gas up there?

I have run the Alcan a lot with a motorcycle and it's in great condition most of the time, but getting 93 octane could be a problem. You will have a bigger city about every 200 to 300 miles that may have the good stuff. Pick up a few bottles of octane boost for just in case you can't find 93 octane when ya need it.

Take your time and enjoy the trip, it's great. One day the wife and I will take the camaro down and back just for the drive. I think the closest Olive Garden restaurant is in Washington, so that sounds like a good reason for a drive.
