If and I say if there was a Z28........
Ok, just a simple question here, If GM makes a Z28 and hopefully they will. How do you think they will handle the ordering process? Will it be like the Oct 13th launch of the camaro or will the dealer decide who gets to order? I am sure there will be a huge markup with a limited number of units. I have never followed up on how these limited production cars work. I sure someone one the site works at a dealership and has been through this before. I hate that all the rich people get the super nice cars and the real everyday guy that loves and dreams cars doesn't have a chance to get one. Any info on how to get my foot in the door ahead of the others would be so cool.

I heard they will make a z28 one year after the first ones come out. It will be a V8 turbo or s/c.

if they made a Z28 model, they would be a limited production model and would be expensive. but the trick is, what do you throw in the Z to make it affordable, powerful, etc. how do you make the working man's corvette?
im a never say never kinda guy, but if you look at the LS3 motor... what is it? its a revamped, LS2 style motor that is bored out a little more and has a bunch of little things here and their to add to its performance, add on top of that the L92 heads that it uses (which are some of the greatest production heads ever made). how many superchargers are there out for LS-series motors? if it will mate up to L92 heads, it will work on this car. and the aftermarket s/c companies know this as well as GM. it would be detrimental to GM to try and "force" a sale with a supercharged camaro as (like everything with the aftermarket) it would cost more installed from the dealer than from an aftermarket source. if anything, I would not be suprised at all to see GM allow another company (SLP, GMMP, etc.) do the Z28 revamp in the same style of the 4th gens where you order an SS and they send your car to whoever who installs a supercharger, even more bad ass suspension (magnetic ride like the vette) or whatever. and have it rebadged as an Z28/SS (instead of like the 4th gens that were SS/Z28s) however.... EVERYONE "hears" something about the Z28, and take it at face value without doing any research.
