Great to see everyone's responses so far.
Well, they were probably thinking....

"Hey, let's look at this logically. ABM has the lowest sales numbers of ANY color. Let's stop making it."

Just because a lot of enthusiasts who joined this website like it doesn't make it most popular.
IBM and ABM are the two lowest selling colors. But there are a lot of IBM and ABM owners on here who absolutely love the color. In fact there's another poll thread around here between IBM and Black in which IBM is winning. However black is one of the top selling colors.
Any intelligent company would decide based on sales figures, not emotions.

Well, if memory serves correct, ABM sold just marginally less than IBM, and both colors sold marginally less than about 3-4 others. Black, VR and a couple others make up the other end of the popularity spectrum. The sad thing is that unlike ALL the other colors, ABM was not given a full model year run. And the decision to cancel came when many ABM's were just hitting the streets. Who is to say that ABM wouldn't gain popularity as people started seeing them? Historically, Chevy has offered a medium or lighter blue Camaro. Why? Because there's demand for it. To cancel ABM was to disenfranchise a significant group of people/potential buyers. No reason GM couldn't continue to produce, while still offering Synergy on a limited run to first test popularity, before mass producing.

Agreed. ABM has the perfect balance of looking vibrant, but not "in your face" vibrant.

An intelligent company would figure out why its sales figures arnt as high, and fix the problem. For abm it was lack of availabillity on rp6, and a crappy photoshop in the brochure.

If the lack of a light blue color is all it takes to drive people away from buying a Camaro, then they probably have no real interest in this car anyway.
I had wanted IOM. But after driving one, color no longer had anything to do with the decision to buy.

You have a point there. It would just be nice to get the color a person really wants when making this kind of investment. Financially, I've been forced to hold off on making the purchase, but hope to do so by mid-summer. Just pure speculation, but my guess is there will be some good incentives on remaining 10' stock, the way this economy is going. Guessing there will be every color available on dealer lots, except for the one I really want...Oh well, life goes on and it will be a very exciting day, whatever color Camaro I end up getting.

This color on the Chally just isn't as brilliant as "OUR" Aqua Blue..IMHO...
Go Aqua Blue!

Nobody does it better than ABM, Walt! Haven't personally seen a blue Chally yet, but did see a 370Z quasi-aqua yesterday, and it fell short of the ABM too.

I just saw the Synergy for the first time today (in bright sunlight), and it was about what I expected....I was still left thinking "GM cancelled ABM for this?"

While SG may have its fans, to me its a color better suited for a pimped-out Prius, or one of those Cube cars.

We voted ABM- but like MikeL441 we are biased....Love our ABM and kind of glad it is discontinued...makes others envious . I agree that it seems GM should be able to have the paint choices all available especially in the same build year. We feel bad for those that LOVE the color and cannot get it. However, my dealer tells me they can sell my car for much more than I paid for it Not that I will sell it. Will keep customizing it to make it even more special.

Yes, we'll agree with the crappy photoshop online and the brochure. Looked like flourescent robin egg blue- nasty!! At the time we ordered last June '09 there weren't any to see at any dealer and we basically just took a gut shot ordering ABM. If GM had marketed this color better I know there would have been more interest. There is NOT ONE person that looks at our car and says its ugly- everyone LOVES the color. When we tell people the color was discontinued their immediate response is "why?" They can't believe you cannot order this color anymore.
