i stuck a very small screw driver thru the drain holes to let them drain.water has been coming out for over a half hour.
the drain holes are located on the bottom center of the muffler towards the front of the car.

just curious...how many miles do you have?

i just looked under mine...they are very very small holes like he described they are in the middle of the muffler towards the front of the car. i just barely saw mine. they are like pin-size holes.

You know this could really explain the white smoke that I got after about 400 miles on my 2SS. It was real embarrassing, but now that I look back on it, I took the car through a brushless (water only) car wash and opted for the under carriage wash the day before I had white smoke billowing out at a stop sign after driving for 2 hours! Not happened since, I could try the wash again but Hell No I cannot suffer that embarrassment again. However this drain hole could explain a lot!

Thanks guys!

But if they are stainless, they are not going to rust.

Just had mine replaced under warranty too! After they fixed another TSB problem of clicking from the two rear half shafts (by putting washers in to tighten those up), I had a very weird noise coming from the rear end every time I stepped on the gas in ANY gear.
After HOURS at the dealership, GM engineers determined it was a bad baffle in the muffler..
Odd that it JUST started to happen after the other "fix". But now I have much less of a drone noise from the rear end.. STILL a little but not enough to drive me crazy

If the holes are plugged, it is def a BAD thing. Water vapor is a by-product of burning gasoline and it condenses in the cooler parts of the exhaust system. Left there, it will rust thru eventually.

So you can open em up and let em drain or use it as an excuse to replace them ugly cans later when they rust out!

Though that will take awhile to happen....
