What kind of gas do you put in your Camaro?
I'm just curious as to what type (regular, premium, ultra, etc.) of gas do you put in your Camaro. Mainly want to know this as I got my Camaro this past thursday and it looks like I'll need to fill it up.

I have the V6 and run 87 oct. Some say you get less performance because of the knock sensors. Mines a DD and I have enough performance with getting 22-23 mpg ave. I don't think the added cost of the higher oct. will net me any real savings in mpg.
V8? Definately run premium. If you do a search, there's tons of threads on this.

2SS, highest octane available, ethanol free if available but its getting harder and harder to find in brand name gasoline
Brand choices: 1. Texaco/Chevron 2. Shell 3. Exxon/Mobil 4. BP

I'm still breaking my Camaro 2SS in with 1,326 miles on it & keeping it under 4,000 rpm's. Tried a tank of 93 octane & then a tank of 87 octane & did not notice any difference, so I'm sticking with 87 until car is broken in. After 1,500 mile break-in period is over & I can rev engine above 4,000 rpm's, I'll try 93 octane again.

I run 87 in my V6 and am averaging around 23-24 mpg.
