588km computer anticipated mileage with last fill up based on my driving habits which is ?? 11L/100 ....I think
More than that. I get about 650km to 700km (most highway driving) with 11.8/100.

I would like to get a better fuel (less ethanol) but every where around here is stacked full of it. :(

I avoid gas with ethanol if at all possible.

I use Chevron Supreme Plus 94 in my 911 and VROD.

The only thing I can find on the Petro website is that they use Tactrol in their fuels, which is a cleaning additive. Any scientists or knowledgable folk know if that's like ethonol, and if the new 94 (@ Petro) is the same blend as the one at Sunoco.

That's a proprietary product so you would have to be working for P.C. to know exactly what it is but I doubt it has anything to do with ethanol.
I also don't know for certain but I suspect the Sunoco 94 is the same as PC 94.
There are only a few refineries in Canada but some gasoline does come into the country via imports of finished products. Many independents get their gas from PC.
PC, Chevron, Shell and others try to differentiate their gas with the different additives. Basic unleaded gasoline with the same octane is pretty much all the same until the additives go in.

Pretty much, had to settle for 91 in some backwards towns where there were no chevrons >.>

All Sunoco gas stations will soon be Petro-Can anyways. Petro-Can bought them in the winter And are changing staions over or closing them.

Sunoco actually bought Petro Canada, but is keeping the Petro Canada branding. (Weird eh?!)
I have always used Sunoco 94, but I believe it also has ethanol, I think the only alternative is Shell 91, no ethanol, but less octane. My car is tuned for 94, so less mileage, but more power. What to do?!?!

Actually...... Neither bought the other. Suncor (Sunoco Canada) and Petro-Canada merged. (even I got this wrong before) They retained the Suncor corporate name and listing but you are both correct in that they have decided to phase the Sunoco brand out of the Canadian market. And to Frank's comment about the Petro-Canada 94 fuel that's appearing at some Petro-Canada stations (most of which are converted Sunoco stations), that IS the Sunoco Ultra 94 blend that we've been used to previously. I'm hoping they don't change it .

And for some reason I thought it was law that fuel retailers had to disclose the maximum ethonol content for each fuel they sell if it's over some minimum like 5% or something. Not sure about that part but you typically see it posted on the pump.

I've actually read somewhere that 94 contains a lot of Ethanol because it's an easy way to hit that octane level, don't quote me on this though.

edit: just looked around and you can find a lot of other forums where people state that sunoco 94 and petro-can 94 are up to 10% ethanol.

Chalk this one up as another boneheaded move by some clueless business execs. The Sunoco brand has a great heritage as a performance fuel and should not be cast off like this. How many racing cars have you ever seen with a Petro-Canada logo on it? Idiots ...

How many racing cars do you ever see in Canada? Ok a few in the right spots. My point is for every 5 race cars and 1 track we have here there are 200 cars and 20 tracks down in the US. Sunoco just doesn't have the same heritage up here. Petro-Canada on the other hand has huge brand recognition and following in Canada (go figure). Don't get me wrong - I'd prefer to see it stay.

This topic is a NEVER ENDING discussion all over the internet. Everyone has their pros & cons about which fuel is better.
I went onto the internet and searched "ethonol vs. regular gas" and found endless sites talking about this. I will say that there is not a lot of support for ethonol, other than it's a renewable resource, we have less demand on foreign oil, and it's better for the enviroment.

I say, go according to your owner's manual and follow their direction, see what works best for your car, based on the type of driving you do. Then come up with your own personal results. I'm in no way critisizing what anyone has said here, but conduct your own research.

The owners manual does say to use "Top Tier" gasoline, from recognized retailers. It also give the website of www.toptiergas.com as reference.

Here is just an example of what's on the net, in regards to this topic:
