hey guys, six weeks ago i put my order in for my 2ss camaro and the guy at the dealer said 5 weeks for the car to come. last week i called and he said he doesnt even have the vin number yet and said once he has it the car comes quick. does this mean the order hasnt been put in yet? and is it going to keep getting put off? and how can i get my tracking number to know what stange my car is at?

Ask them for the order # and you can track it yourself.

He is not being very helpful or honest with you. He should be able to give you the exact status of your car. Why won't he do that for you?

i just called again today and they said that it is going to be made on the 19th...but ur saying that they should have the order number if the order is in?

And the average time still appears to be 7-8 weeks. So I wouldn't get too concerned yet.

Yeah, they should be able to give you the order #. That is available as soon as the order is created.

is the order # just numbers or letters too? i have a receipt, would the # be on there?

Letters & #'s Example: NKFTM9 - I'm not sure if it's on your receipt...

Oder number is six digit alpha neumeric. You should have recieved paperwork with this number on it. At the time you placed your order.

I am having the same problem, I placed my order on 2/19/10 and got the order #. As of today, my order is still at 1100 on camarotracking.com. I don't understand why, I've watched other members posts showing that they ordered theirs around that time or sometimes after, and their cars have been delivered already! Why is mine not even in sequence yet?

Did the dealer you ordered from have an allocation for placing an order.

The order number is called a "WorkBench" number. Mine was NRHBKG. The VIN is one the last things to get assigned to the car as it is getting built. You won't know the VIN until the car is already built.

1100 means that the dealer does not have an allocation to match your order to
