This phrase is stupid.

My choice won EVERYTHING. Best design, best sales for almost a year, the way better quality, now its 2011 highest hp and torque. All ur winnings u are trying to operate is on the paper of a source, which always overrate everything. And THAT is ridiculous.

As to what the 2011 v6 Mustangs will run, I think the rags can give you an idea. I mean I've seen 1/4 mile times from 13.7 to 14.2, trap speeds were all in the low 100s. Seems like the car is capable, with the performance package. I've yet to see a review with the standard car, and it's 2.73 rear gear.
First, it takes about 20hp at the crank to reduce the quarter mile time of an otherwise unchanged car (i.e. weight, gearing, etc.) by a tenth of a second. Secondly, the actual output of the V6 engine did not change, just the rating of the same exact engine. The 2010 V6 also has 312HP at the crank. At least it does now.

This is not quantum physics, folks.

Again.... BOTH times need to be approved on a STOCK car with NO any tune, without FORD guyz at ur back. I dont have to believe to the source, when 3-4 other sources showing another WAY more realistic numbers, like 14-14.1 and 5.6. If the highest u see is most realistic for u, then u have to believe, that camaro 2010 is 14.1 car with 5.7, cos a year ago i saw this numbers in magazines as well and they were at least strange.

The only really fair comparisons so far are the ones done at the same time on the same track.

Before your palms get all sweaty, let's be clear - the boys and girls at Inside Line have put the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro LT and the base 2011 Ford Mustang toe-to-toe. This isn't the big bad SS vs GT throwdown the world has been clamoring for, but that's fine by us. Both models dish out over 300 horsepower, and when it comes right down to it, there will be more V6 engines battling it out in high school parking lots that V8s.

So how'd they do? The big-boned Camaro V6, complete with its 3,790-pound curb weight, managed to dish out a 6.1-second 0-60 mph run, a 14.3-second quarter-mile time and .86 g on the skidpad. Coming down from 60 mph, the Bowtie delivered a stopping distance of 111.78 feet. Those are all solid numbers, to be sure, but they don't quite stack up to what Ford brought to the table with its pony.

The Mustang is a considerably smaller car in nearly every way, and right off the bat, it has 282 fewer pounds to lug around. With a curb weight of 3,508 pounds, the Mustang clicked off a 5.6-second 0-60 mph sprint, a 13.9-second quarter-mile and .91 g on the skidpad. Can you say "smoked?" Throw in 60-0 mph in 103 feet, and it's clear Ford wanted to ensure that the 'Stang not only puts the hurt on its arch rival from General Motors, but it's also clear that the Blue Oval was seeking to build a solid all-around performer.

Before the Chevrolet faithful start clamoring about price, it should be noted that both cars fall within $1,000 of each other. The General clearly has a lot of work to do before the 2011 models roll out, but we have it on good authority that their engineers are hard at work. Fortunately for enthusiasts, this clearly isn't the end-all, be-all... it's just the latest volley.

That is like me saying a 2009 Mustang has way better quality than a 2002 Camaro.

Exactly. This is the single most needed factory option (in my opinion) for both the V6 and V8 camaro - upgraded gears.

I'm disappointed that autoblog only pulled off a 6.1s 0-60 with their Camaro - a good half second slower than lots of people here have done without mods - but meh, ya gotta get used to magazines making sure the hot new car they want you to be excited about looks like the better one.

Yes the insider line was a half second off the best the mustang 0-60 has got also.

I am just saying the fairest comparisons are ones done on the same day at the same track.
