2011 V6: Where'd they get the power?

Well, I'm definitely not shocked at the % of loss...but I had hoped it would only be in the 15 or 16% range...but then again it wasn't even that when we thought we had 304 HP. Just rambling now lol.

Now off topic, GM just spit on all the Synergy Green folks, they probably feel worse then the 2010 Mustang people

Agreed...100%.....if any of those guys thought it would be more valuable because of the color which will be a large percentage, they are Ef'ed. Now the color will be available on all options till probably November like the ABM last year. So there will be few thousand more of these than anyone anticipated.

For the ones that didn't get the color for collectability and just liked the color, kudos to them.

Yea my dyno went for 246 at the wheels and 230 lbs of torque.

ANyways the ford v6 is underrated as well for anyone who wants to know.
Its projected tha they are pushing 315hp at the crank

But quite a bit of them settled for no RS pack, no leather or V8 just because of the colour, now imagine when a Synergry Green 2SS/RS pulls up next to them

It's probably more like 320ish. Read my earlier post. GM always rates them on the conservative side. Stick that chest way out now, lol.

Chevrolet has found an additional 8 hp for V6 versions of the 2011 Camaro, power that likely has been there all along.
The direct-injection 3.6-liter engine with VVT is now rated at 312 hp, up from last year’s 304 hp. Chevy didn’t actually do anything to the engine. Rather, engineers were conservative with the rating the first time around and were quite confident that it would make “at least” the original output. Torque also is rated a bit higher for 2011, at 278 lb-ft; the previous number was 273 lb-ft.

Yahoo, as of now, when i told people it has 304hp, they where like WOW, thats alot for a v6, sweeet, now i can say 312hp, niiice, haha.

They're only offering the green as an exterior color only. I guess you could make any other trim like the "Limited Edition" , but there's still only one "Limited Edition" model.
