Yes, please listen to fbodyfather and dont cannabalize just yet haha, there is more to come just be patient, most likely GM will bump the SS up a few horses same as the V6 was not only for competition but because over time research leads to improvements just like the 2001 and 2002 4th gens getting a slight horsepower boost. Im glad Synergy Green was cleared for all trims, everyone was annoyed at the limitations on it and now everyone is turning around and complaining about the change which was made just to please those people, it sounds like some people would rather complain just to complain than actually get what they ask for. And a point i totally forgot about, the new Corvette coming out, hell thats gotta be taking a lot of work so just be patient, finally we'll have a new Vette to be proud of ^_^

HUDs
You CANNOT retrofit a HUD on the car without replacing the windshield with a wedge style setup. If you try, you end up with TWO HUD images, slightly offset from one another. It well and truly sucks if you try to retrofit it without the wedge windshield.
I used to work in the Advanced Development shop at Delco Electronics (who is the only outfit in the world that makes HUDs.) I know whereof I speak. |

In the chance that GM happens to read this post, I want to first thank you for making such a beautiful car in the 2010 Camaro. It really is a delight to look at. And I think it is the coolest looking car on the road.
There is of course PLENTY of room for improvement. The 2010 Camaro is such a nice looking car and so unique and comes equipped with such fine motors that it is easy to want the entire car to match the looks and power output. I'll keep this short: 1) The cloth seats are lightweight (that is a good thing, but as a result, they move around too much when you sit in them while driving--(I'm 165 lbs)-- especially laterally. It's embarassing. 2) The car should come with an option to have a larger head unit for the sound system that has an optional nagivation. Turn-by-turn is nice, but it's not enough. I do think the V6 has an excellent engine and I'm really impressed by how advanced of a system it is. I'm sure the HUD will make plenty of people happy. I know I would want it in my car. I'm just happy the Camaro came back. It returned better than ever. I was never a Camaro fan before the 5th gen. I just couldn't get into the styling of the previous generations. But this 5th gen is awesome looking. |

The Centenial/Stingray concept car will be 'inspirational' to the C7 but that car will never get built.

Thanks Fbodfather, I believe you put it very well.
I have never been a 'green color' person for any of my cars, so the Synergy Green color is not an option that I would have ever chosen. I have had Corvettes with HUD and loved the option and it was not an option that disappeared after a few months. HUD was a suggestion that I wrote in my wish list of options to the disciples, so thank of all of you for listening. An increase in horsepower to any engine without a loss of mpg is always a good thing. I am still hoping and waiting for the LSA Z28 and have no intentions of buying a V6, but I am happy for those that want the Camaro with the smaller engine. I have trust that GM will consider all of our requests and make the best choices. Not all of us are going to be happy with all of the decisions that are made, but there simply is no way that any company can make everyone 100% happy. GM is only two steps out of the bankruptcy grave, I think they are headed in the right direction. GM thanks for listening to our thoughts and concerns and keeping the Camaro the great car that we all love.

Very odd if these are the only changes, usually there are some body changes like headlights, tailights, fender sculpting etc. Not that the car needs it but they usually change something on the body

My L99 SS dynod at 336 rwhp on a Mustang dyno with only a Corsa catback installed. Corsa told me that their catback for the 2010 Camaro provides about a 5-7 rwhp boost. So if you subtract 6 hp (avg. of 5-7 hp) from the 336 that my car dynod at, you have 330 rwhp. Automatics have about a 20% decrease in power from flywheel hp. Divide 330 rwhp by .80 and that equals 412.5. So the stock L99 may actually have about 410 +/- fwhp. Should be interesting. |

Deathchill, quitcherbitchin. It's no longer constructive. Overall it's an amazing car, and you're definitely seeing the glass half empty man.

I was just massively disappointed at first; however, I am interested to hear if these are the only updates for 2011 or if we'll potentially hear more. Fbodfather?

If no other changes happen, and that is a if because I don't know.
I have something to say to the Camaro fans coming from a Ford fan and owner of a 2000 GT. When I was in my early driving years it was 2000. This was when the 4th gens were out. And I certainly remember the LT1 cars. As a ford fan their was years I prayed the mustang could be within a tenth or two of the LT1s or LS1s. I didn't even hope for out performing the camaro just be close you know. It was disappointing year after year holding out hope. But one thing never changed. I loved my mustangs. No camaro no matter how fast or how well it handled or how well it looked changed that. It was never and should not ever be something to lose sleep over. Some of you seem like you think it is a god given right to beat the stangs year in and year out. Can't you let us have at least 1 year. Even with my 2000 GT knowing that V6 5th gens and V6 Stangs could realistically outrun me it still doesn't get me down. I still love my 2000 GT and always will. |
