It doesn't hurt one bit. I don't care. And you all shouldn't either. The 2011 Mustang has better numbers, and is a faster, lighter car. Good for them. Why did we buy V6 Camaros? Because it was the fastest car on the market? I hope none of you made that mistake. I bought my Camaro because I think it's a beautiful car. I love it. And I'll love it for as long as it's willing to drive me to where I need to be. And when Mustang guys glare and rev and try to race me, I smile knowing my car is for styling and cruisin', not racing and bruisin'.

Edit: And it's still pretty fast... 312 HP is nothing to be ashamed of. It's fun... Really fun.

Note: Before anyone starts crying foul we'd like to point out that yes we do realize that the 2011 Camaro V6 has an "additional" 8 horsepower over the previous year. However even General Motors themselves have admitted that the increase in horsepower was purely due to the 2010 model's power rating being conservative. That means that the 2011 and 2010 Camaro V6 share identical engines and both have the same horsepower. Furthermore from what we've read the 2011 Camaro LT (V6) will have very few, if any, performance upgrades which would skew the test results that InsideLine has recorded. A recent press release by GM shows that the 2011 Camaro LT will receive an additional paint color, a new heads up display, and like we said, its official power rating was bumped.

As said earlier its the Pony wars which is great for us enthusiasts!!! Each time one ups the other then they will come back with something better. I hate to say it but if we didnt have the Mustang we probably wouldnt have the Camaro. The Camaro was brought to life to rival other Pony cars and do some racing which we all know that history GM did a great job bringing this car back to life and it shows in the sales for the past 10 months compared to Mustang sales. Now lets see what happens since the Mustang is getting revamped and how many people choose the Mustang over the Camaro, and if they do so be it. We all love our cars here and as also stated earlier if you bought this car thinking its the fastest out there, well you bought it for the wrong reason

This is evidenced by the crap FORD built and put a Mustang Tag on for the Last 7 years...... now they start to build cars to be proud of, why......because of the Camaro!

Buy the car you like. Performance can always be added later. And remember, no matter which car you choose, there will always be someone faster than you.

I was just sitting in a Mustang GT tonight at the ford dealership. It was a very nice car and I really liked the way it "felt". I didn't drive it but would of liked to, was just pressed for time. Like i told the salesman, if I had the money I'd like to have one of the Mustangs as well as my camaro, and sitting next to those i would probably have a challenger also. I wish Ford alot of luck with the new mustang, either way I still love my camaro and enjoy driving it.

The only thing we lost here were bragging rights. Hoping those will shift back our way next year.

Until then, MODS

We still have the better equiped, better looking, better priced car. I didn't buy a v6 for it's speed - that's was just a bonus. I'm sorry but I could get rear ended by an out of control Toyota and my back end would STILL look better then a mustang.
