Okay, so I was kind of skeptical reading about all the keyed cars and scratches in parking lots the last few months. I thought maybe people were embellishing a little, or maybe some people were just faking it for attention.

People really do have something against our cars. And if my experiance holds true across the board, I know which group of people it is.

I get off work today, and I stop to pick up some vittles at the local supermarket. I'm come out, and proceed the walk what my wife refers to as the "muscle car mile." The long walk to the far end of the parking lot. Lo and behold, 3 white trash wannabe ganster rappers it what looked like the most unkempt Honda Civic of all time drive past my Camaro. They stop, and I hear one say "Yo dog, we should key the shit out of that!"

I started walking just a little slower, hoping they wouldn't see me. I was PRAYING to God one of them would actually get out of the car. It would would have been nothing but bad news for them in the police blodder of our local paper.

I guess I wasn't sneaky enough though. They took off. Got the license plate though. I don't expect nothing to come of it, but I am going to file a report in the morning. Just to scare the shit out of them.

This does beg the question though...
Had I caught them in the act and put a pocketful of asswhuppin on 'em, what would have happened when the police arrived? Any of you Camaro Coppers mind feilding that question?

I mean, afterall....

Vandalism in CA. Damage exceeding $400 makes it a felony according to 594PC. 415 PC (disturbing the peace, i.e. fight without visible injury - is a misdemeanor). Just don't leave any marks from said asswhuppin and you can still come out on top.

If I came out of somewhere and witnessed some wanna be gangsters keying my car, the police report would read something like this: "at that time, he confronted the subjects vandalizing his vehicle and they became hostile. Fearing for his life, he drew his concealed handgun..."
