I'd also like to know which brands/types will produce the most horsepower increase. Also, my SS is an automatic. I would like to keep AFM on, but I need an exhaust that will support that without the drone. I'm leaning towards a Corsa cat-back system, but I'm not so sure I want to drop $1200+ on it... which is why I need your help! Thanks everyone!
Doug Thorley has the absolute best bang for the buck on the market. Period.

Their Long Tubes outflow the ever popular ARH's at a much less price with the same lifetime warranty.

(Post #57 shows independant dyno results of the two)

Listen to the Doug Thorley Catback and tell me how that doesn't mop everyone up. And with prices around $550 everywhere....

And that's with STOCK manifolds!!

Just my humble opinion, but if I can get better quality, more power, at a lower price then the rest......??? Should be a slam dunk.

PM me for more info!

That's a very astute perception.

What's the point however? It's not like he's (or anyone for that matter) pushing more than 600-650??

A 1 3/4" is fine for 90% of the people here. Especially for the OP.

He did say

didn't he??

now THAT'S a astute perception. What is the reasoning behind this?

Yes, but he wasn't specific on what his goals are further down the line. What if the OP decides to put a 150 shot on the car in a few months? He will need help getting those exhaust gases out.

Just giving the OP the best option that's out there right now giving his qualifying information.

You made it sound like having a 1 3/4 Long Tube was a bad thing. Again, without people like Ted Janetty posting tech specs on the differences between the primary sizes, many people wouldn't know how to better judge and place a value on how they spend their money on Headers.

Again, you might be the exception since you've dropped a little coin into your rig, but most people aren't there or don't plan on going there for some time so in that case, 1 3/4' Long Tubes fit the bill.

We can both assume anything about what anybody wants to do or might do, but how many people actually need that extra 1/8" ? Honestly??

Agreed or do you wanna internet fight some more??

This is all great info. Thanks for your insights. The SOLO does sound pretty nice. I've also been looking into Magnaflow since Amazon is running 30% off Magnaflow kits right now.

I don't think I want to go with a 1 3/4" tube for future sake. I'd rather spend a litle extra for a 2.5" or 3" pipe. I'll let you guys know what I decide to go with.

Just so you know that coupon code for the 30% off is only good if the kits comes from Amazon direct, won't work if it's coming from a 3rd party dealer!

No Drone Corsa

Go with the Corsa ss cat back performance dual exit exhaust.....they advertise no drone, I bought it, I love it and there is no drone! It is respectably quiet for neighbors but when you want to let it loose this exhaust howls like a straight through....frikin awesome sound IMO!!

Mind you I have married my Corsa with Kooks 1-7/8 LT's and catted conmnectors !!
