Going by simple, hard data the Camaro ran 3-4 tenths faster than the 2010 Mustang, and 3-4 tenths slower than the 2011.

Stock for stock, with equal drivers, the SS will have a hard time keeping up and has no advantage beyond grip (maybe). Simple physics. Once you start modding, as others have said, all bets are off, and it becomes a money game.

In head to head comparisons such as motor trend, the camaro had a .6 tenth advantage as well as a 6 mph trap advantage. We now have a head to head comparison showing a 4 tenth advantage with equal traps. We also have other tests showing them to run equal that were not performed on the same day but by the same mags (slower than camaro in car and driver, same speed as camaro in edmunds etc). And in all these tests traps were nearly identical.

Not even close to the same situation as before.

No need to be sour because you will have a hard time hanging with the 2011 mustang...............v6

No need to bring MY car into a discussion about two different cars. I didnt even bring up my car at all, you're the one who started that one.

Unless I am reading this wrong..the Challenger isnt the subject of this thread, so why bring it up? If I dont like the fact that my Challenger is a bit sluggish compared to the Mustang and Camaro..I'll mod it. Simple as that. So..that being said, I have to wonder why you even brought it up? If it is to simply stir drama and not actually engage in discussion, maybe youtube comment wars are more your game?

Actually this is way hypocritical, when the SS beats the SRT8 by 2 tenths the SS is is killing it, when the Mustang is beatin the SS by 4 tenths it is not fast enough to be killing the SS, right..... So now it comes down to MPH, how do we know that the Mustang isn't capable of 113 MPH speds? I have seen MPH from 107-110 for the SS and even as high as 109+ for the SRT8 (hardly the 6 or 7 mph difference you stated, hell in the comparisons of the R/T and the SS it was about 106 for the R/T and 109 for the SS, hardly 6 mph difference). Fact is they are all really close and unless you have perfect and equal drivers on the same tracks all the time, it's close enough to be a drivers race period. It is kinda sad you keep going so far to try and make the Camaro seem superior in every way. Just enjoy your car, maybe if you have to put down other cars to be happy with it though, it may not be the car for you.......

Thats just it Ultra has been saying the whole time that its a drivers race. Hes not saying the Camaro is superior to the new Mustang. Just about every post hes stating the same thing...are some of us all reading the same post?

When did I say anything about an srt-8? I was replying to his comment about the difference between the 2010 mustang GT and 2010 camaro.

The high end GT seems to fall right in line with what the SS/RS is. But I'd have to say you get a much more attractive package with the Camaro... I might be biased!

eehhhh i dunno. they seem pretty equal to me.

you gotta admit tho, these new stangs are nice. Now that mine is totaled im very tempted, but i gotta go with a new equinox cuz of our 1st baby on the way. simply makes more sense right now
