Any charging port hatch solutions?

Any charging port hatch solutions? The thing next to the traction control switch.

The charging port hatch aka cigarette lighter plug is the cheapest made part of the camaro and probably will be the first thing to break if you use it.

Has yours broken yet? has the pin come out? the spring not sprung anymore?

Anyway has anyone got a creative solution for when this hatch falls off or breaks off???

I had problems plugging my GPS into it. It wouldn't work at all and taking out the charger was a pain. It even was pulling up the whole plastic area around the charger. I have plugged it in a couple of times since and it seemed a lot better and even charged my GPS, but that first time I was sitting thing how GM did it again, made some cheap interior. And that I just dropped 40K (w/ the options I picked) and this is what I get?

I would expect no one to have issues. Tested for durability, hot and cold.

Now if you have something plugged in and the cover is up and you throw something on top of it or drag something across it you could perhaps break it off. It isn't meant to hang things on. It's just a far more stylish solution to the little black plug used on most other applications.
