Got my VIN on Saturday. My car is about 45 minutes away from me in NJ already! Dealer says it should be here by mid-week! I can't wait anymore!

I signed up with camarotracking.com and that's how I got mine. They send it to my email.

I did too, but all I got was a VIN. So there's going to email me the rail car tracking? Thanks

This is what they sent me in an email last week, "Shipped by Railroad rail number ETTX711760". From there I had to call the CSX Railroad's automated line to use the number to track it.

So on Saturday I received and email that said my status moved to 3800, order produced, and the email said "Last Update: April 10, 2010 - Current".

Today I received an email that said my status is On Hold at Osh, and the email also says "Last Update: April 9, 1020 - Current"???

So did I receive these emails out of order? I've checked them carefully to make sure I've got the dates right so I'm trying to figure out which is true:
  1. My car went from "on hold" to "produced"
  2. My car went from "produced" to "on hold"
If I go by the "last update" in chronological order my car is produced, but if I go by the order in which I received the emails my car is "on hold".

I probably means the shipping is on hold if I had to guess. I saw on a thread at camarotracking.com where "on hold" is listed under the common railroad terms. I can't find the link though...

According to Union Pacific mine's estimated "Delivered at Industry" is scheduled for Oklahoma City on Friday the 16th at 6:30pm. From what I've read, that means it will not go any further by rail from there and should be loaded onto a truck for the final leg to Frisco, TX. Oklahoma City is only about 3 hours to my dealership...I might have a Camaro in my garage on Monday or Tuesday depending on how all this works...

Thanks, I just got my railroad info emailed to me like you said

My car is somewhere between Buffalo, NY and the yard in NJ (sounded like it said Dorum sada ramp) where I'm assuming it gets loaded onto a car carrier. It's due there on 4/14 11am. My dealer expects it on 4/22, seems like a long time to offload...

I certainly hope that's what it means. I've read a few places that indicate my car could be in quality control, for who knows how long? Here's to hoping for a 4000+ status tomorrow and not another hold.

How did you get through with Union Pacific? Everytime I start to say my car's initials and number it just says "Please hold" and puts me back at the start. Worst automation ever!

Well, hopefully it will get to you sooner... I think the dealer will usually tell people it's going to take longer than it should so customers won't get pissed if the car doesn't come in when they say it will. If it comes in early no one complains.
