Got a finger from a Mustang driver on my way home.

That's right he gave me the thumbs up. Even he knew when to concede defeat.

2 days ago I was sitting behind a Mid 00's Mustang, and a Challenger came up behind me. So it was Mustang, New Camaro, New Challenger.

The first morning I drove the SS to work a GT500 Mustang flipped me off as I got into the turn lane from the right lane. He was in the middle lane a few car lengths back and I didn't provoke him in any way. As he passed with his finger flying I smiled and thought "This car is bada$$." A thumbs up would have been good too.

You know...I read alot of posts on here about how Mustang drivers are generalized as "dicks" or "A-holes"..I have to admit I have read more douch bag comments like the above on this site in the few months that I have been here than I have ever read combined in the several years I was on Mustang Forums...
The few trolls here who SAY they own Mustangs and come in here to argue that the Mustang is better are not representitive of most of the "Mustang Guys" and honestly I am willing to bet the Mustang fourms I used to peruse I have less threads putting down Camaros that this site has putting down Mustangs. Every other damn thread here is something like "ooh my car is sooo cool"....Mustang this,Challengr that...good grief..if you have a story that doesn't require dogging out someone else..hey cool...but otherwise the crap just sounds childish...like a 7 year old argueing he has the cooler toy...I love my Camaro...but as a Camaro owner, to be lumped in with some of the stuff that I see here...no so proud of that.

Rant over...

I have spent the last 9 years as a Camaro owner and probably about another 20 as the owner of numerous Mustangs. I've also been around the enthusiast forums of both makes ever since they first starting popping up about 15 years ago. While I don't expect your comments (or mine for that matter) to be particularly well-received in general I for one am in 100% agreement. It certainly cuts both ways but what you're talking about is why I am content to be a lurker most of the time.

I agree with you guys on this subject matter.
In the past30 yrs I have owned a 67 GTA Fastback Mustang, 70 R code Mach 1, two 72 Mach 1's, a 74 Mustang II with a 289, A 70 Challenger R/T SE, 71 Challenger 340, and the following Camaro's 74 LT, 75 LT, two 79 Z 28's, and a few other various rides.
It amazes me that not only do others here and on the Charger sites, put down anyone who is not driving exactly what they drive.
People with V8's put down the owners of V6's, SRT's putting down all below them, SS owners dowing those below them.
Cars are a hobby and a joy for me, currently we have two v6 cars, does not mean we can't afford the V8 versions. It is just we have kids in private prep schools and our priorities are in other places at this time.
This does not make me nor anyone else any less of a person.
So let me say this as those who look down on others how will you feel later when they are looking down on you.
My daughter will be purchasing her Dad a Ferrari after completing Med School and becomes a surgeon. Not a dream, her promise to me for sacrificng many of my dreams to fulfill hers.
Not sure I will alow her to do so, as once she and her brother are out of school I will have plenty to buy another Camaro. And it will be something like a Hennesy or Nickey car!!!!
But rather than put my friends down I hope we will be piling in and cruising together.
