Gas and tolls would be well over a grand. If the C5fest were longer than 1 day I would have gone.. it would have taken me 5 days to drive there and back (1275 miles one way)..

Camaro getting the Pearl White stripes done with IOM Lingenfelter on the hood rallys. Here's a few pre-stripe pics Mtcwby took just before I returned to Motorsport Concepts (was part chasing and paint booth beat me)

I am painting Lingenfelter on the hood also. I went by yesterday to drop of the stencils and they were just about done prepping the bumper. They fixed the holes from the plate holder, but needed some more sanding.

that's good news 2010... what color are your stripes going to be?

Don't blame you on the front plate thing...
I live in a 2 plate state.. and I still won't bolt it on there. I might after I get a ticket for it.

My stripes are going to be flat black with some subtle custom artwork incorporated. From 15 ft away they should look plain, but when you get up close you will be able to see the artwork. He clearcoats over with a flat clearcoat to protect the paint. It's not very often you meet a painter with this much talent, so I figure I will go for it and that way my stripes will not be the same as everyone else's. I am also going to change my spoiler to the MPD1. It will be painted, and the stripes will go over it. He is also going to paint my bowties IOM, and black out the area between the tail lights like the old SS. I'm very excited, and scared at the same time.

Not really that scared, I'm the 3rd Camaro he's done in our area, and he's painted a bunch of Vette's.

2010, The scaredy-ness wears off after a while...
then you get really psyched about having a cool looking car.

Key is finding the talent BEFORE you hand over the keys.
It's a matter of trust after they have the car...

I'm not afraid to drive mine hard..
But I sure am scared to leave it alone in a Walmart (or similar) parking lot!

I got as close as the airport and Delta canceled my flight due to technical difficulties. They tried to re-book and couldn't get me out until tomorrow. I am so disappointed. Hope all of you arrive safely and have a GREAT TIME.
