I'm hanging with my boy!!

One of the most famous Camaro's ever was KITT. I think KITT was a "HE" not a SHE"

Smokey and the Bandit? I know it was a Trans AM but does anyone remember the name he called the car?

The He/She thing is a has roots in the Naval Traditions. Americans have always referred to they're Naval Ships as "she" the British on the other and have always referred to there ships as "he". Don't ask me why. I only know whre it comes from, not why.

I see it a lot like I see my wife, beautiful, emotionally moving, caring and soothing to the soul but, at the same time she can be angry, powerful and tempermental. In the case of my wife, I wouldn't trade her for the world. I feel like, once I get my camaro, I'll have the same feelings about it as well. In both cases, they're both things I'll cherish and take care of. They'll also both cherish and take care of me. That's why I see this particular car as a she. Just my opinion.

Many languages refer to "car" in the masculine.

I figure that the car reflects the driver, and takes on the driver's mannerisms. It's good to see so many guys are getting in touch with their feminine side.

Personally, if you bought the car, it's whatever you want it to be.

LOL. Go tell a Marine that he or his AV-8 Harrier which he calls a "she" is dainty compared to your car - just don't bring the car, or when you wake up you might find it in a hundred pieces from a thousand "dainty" 25mm cannon rounds.

Maybe those kinds of "she"'s are just made of sterner stuff than the she's you're used to. I've never flown anything hotter than a C172 before (not counting five minutes at the stick of an SNJ once - awesome experience BTW, sitting in the front cockpit right behind that 600hp P&W Wasp was something you sure don't get in a Cessna!), but fundamentally an aircraft isn't that different from a car, which isn't that different from a woman - treat her right, and she'll treat you right. With the right kind of "she", if you know your and her limits, you can play rough, too.

Anyway, call it whatever you like - just keep in mind that there are a bunch of much more "kick azz" guys at the controls of much more "kick azz" machines out there who aren't so squemish about respecting their machines as having a feminine personality.

In Transformers Bumble Bee is either a "he" or a "machine" either way that's what I think of the Camaro. If I was talking about my specific car I'd refer to it as a "she" just because women have the curves .

I call some of my cars "she," and I guess the others are gender neutral. Never thought about it having anything to do with curves.

However, the orange vette in my avatar is named HOOTERS...so most definitely a SHE.

The curves part was a joke. It's weird saying you like the opposite gender that's why I say she.
