You can always have them repaired. I had the RS package wheels repaired and you cannot tell at all.

Oh, that was the accident I had about a month ago. I was hit by someone while waiting at a left turn. Details in the below thread:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68306

The permagrin thread I did (may still be on first page) shows the after pictures where I've added the stripe.

Check the marketplace forums, people are always selling factory wheels/tires. I picked up a set for $1150 shipped (same price as just the tires pretty much)

if it is the front one, this maybe a time to "upgrade" them to the same size as the rears....

Buy a new one off here for around $150, or buy a whole set and keep them as spares.

I've seen an aftermarket set of chrome duplicates of the C5 20" wheels... you can probably get a whole set of those for what GM wants for one OEM wheel. I'm tempted, 'cause the chrome looks sweet!

Why would you want wider (and more expensive) tires in the front?

Much cheaper to to find a place local to you that will repair the wheels. It has to be fairly nasty before it can't be fixed.

you could actually rotate the tires then, vice having to deal with having two sizes of tires and not being able to rotate them. I figure that is one advantage and I am sure there are a few more.

actually on tire rack the front tires (narrower) are SLIGHTLY more expensive than the wider rear tires.
