What tuners do you guys recommend?

I was looking at the DiabloSport predator and noticed a few others. What's the current consensus on what the "best" tuner available for our cars?

I have an L99 btw, not that it would really make a difference.

The SCT would be your best Choice since it has Transmission support.

Definitely get a (A6) tranny tune as well with whatever engine tune you get. It will be a TOTALLY different car (I know mine is)

Definitely buy whatever you get from Jannetty Racing. Ted has saved my butt with his tuning abilities more than once! He has great customer service and knows what he is doing!

How does the SCT compare to the Diablosport Predator?

The SCT Software and hardware for the Camaro are both more advanced at this point.

I noticed there's two different SCT. The SF3 and X3. What's the difference and which is better?

Vector Motorsports all has an excellent tune for the L99 cars. Both ECM and TCM.

SF3 and an X3 are Identical, except the SF3 comes with Preloaded tunes for stock cars 91-93 octane.

Either one can accept and store up to 5 custom tunes, Datalog, Performance test, read and clear codes, and make personal adjustments to fuel spark rev limiter, speed limiter, tire size, gear ratio, and fan settings.

Ted.

The best? Hptuners or EFI-LIVE are far superior to any hand held

That is a Bold Statement you must not have any experience with SCT or Diablo Software.

I can achieve Exact Results with all 4 software, so what makes one better than the other EXCEPT personal preference.

We are NOT tuning the Software, We are Tuning the Cars Computer, It doesn't really matter what door we use to get in there.

Ted.

Can the SCT be tuned from a laptop? It's much easier to adjust parameters when you have a bigger screen with everything in front of you. Also, does the SCT show wideband A/F ratios?
