Talking Review with vid!

As promised, here is my review of the Cherry Bomb cat back exhaust.

Ordered from - http://www.performanceexhaustplus.com/ (Owner Jim Gruss; excellent customer service!)
Price - $399 shipped

Took less than 1 week to arrive. Fedex did an outstanding job with the shipping, no damage and box was completely in-tact.

Kit came with everything needed. Quality clamps, instructions and protective foam around the mufflers and tips.

On to the install:
Stock exhaust was a bear to get off. I could not get the car high enough to remove the stock mufflers from the valance. I unbolted the bottom of the valance and was able to peel it back enough to get the mufflers out.

Notice the stock clamps are off the car. The Cherry Bomb kit came with replacement clamps to bolt the x-pipe up to the cat forward.

Installing the x-pipe section was a breeze. The fit was snug. The mid-pipes between the mufflers and the x-pipe section are the tricky part. I installed them onto the x-pipe and then installed the mufflers leaving everything loose so I could adjust.

**Item of interest** - remove the rubber hangers and install on the exhaust before mounting on the car.

After adjusting the mid-pipes a couple of times and working the mufflers into place, I got everything lined up and tightened. I must say the fit was very good.

I honestly have to say this is the best $399 I have ever spent on a car part. The fit was excellent, the quality was great, and the sound....oh my.

Enjoy! I sure am.

BTW - this system is about 1/3rd the weight of the stock exhaust and the clearance between the tunnel brace and exhaust was about 2". No need for spacers or washers.

Here you go:

BTW - did not get a chance to drive it last night however on the way to work today, I focused on drone. At 70MPH it is barely noticeable. Another plus to add to the list of great things.

Forgive my ignorance but why is the cat back cheaper than the axle back?

Cat back $399.00
Axle back $405.44

First off, congrats! It sounds pretty sweet and the price is out of this world! Second, what size is it 2.5" or 3"?

Hi, this is Jim the owner of Performance Exhaust PLUS - www.performanceexhaustplus.com and I've been following several of the posts regarding the Cherry Bomb Extreme Kit (300693) for the '10 Camaro. I'd like to offer some answers to some of the questions posed.

This complete kit does sell for $399 delivered. Cherry Bomb was late to market for the 2010 Camaro compared to other brands that I sell - Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Stainless Works and CGS Performance Products. All of these other manufacturers had cat-back or axle back systems available for the 2010 Camaro. When Cherry Bomb released and had this product available I wanted to make a statement with the price. I'd rather make just a little money on the deal and pass along the savings to you. A quality system and at even affordable price. This is also why it is a little less than the axle back system.

This is an aluminized system vs. a stainless steel system so the costs to produce are much less. Some will say the aluminized system won't last as long but the 2010 Camaro owners I've talked say their cars will hardly ever see inclement or harsh weather conditions. Once again an affordable system that sounds great with the Extreme series mufflers (Cherry Bomb's most aggressive sound).

On a performance note, I recently talked to Cherry Bomb technical support and this system was dyno'ed on the 2010 Camaro and posted a increase of 12 horsepower and 7 lbs. of torque.

A little background, my business philosophy has always been, "take care of your customers, take care of your employees and the business will come." While simple in nature this has been successful for me throughout my career. I'm old school (Viet Nam Vet) and believe in treating customers like I like to be treated. I'm new to this industry and started my small business a little over three years ago with the goal of building my customer base one customer at a time through quality products, competitive pricing and service second to none.

This is my first post and if I can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me.

Regards and Happy Motoring.

I'm still not understanding why the axle back is more than the cat-back.

Sooo, make just a little money and pass on the savings to me on the axle back system! I don't need the x-pipe. $300 and you got a sale.
