My best times: R/T-----.713 60------1.882 330-----5.089 1/8-----7.670 MPH----95.59 1000----9.878 1/4-----11.729 MPH----122.87 On saturday Scott drove my car in the top 16 fastest shootout and ran an 11.720. The car was shifting into 5th before the end of track. The second run was not as good and we were bumped out. We are going to program the transmission to not shift out of 4th before the 1/4 and should gain a nice bit. We also were unable to drop tire pressure because the Forgeline oversize valve stems needed an adapter so ran with 30 psi. I have to get some good pics of the new hood and I will post them soon. The new front bumper was a pre production piece and was awesome as well. The very first production one will be shipped to me in a couple weeks. I will get some good pics in the next day or so. The fest was awesome and you guys have to go to the next one. Ken Lingenfelter was there and is a really cool guy. The Lingenfelter track crew are a lot of fun and a great group of guys to hang out with. The LS9 car is truly incredible to see and hear in person!

It sounds like you all had an awesome time. Wish we could have made it too. Your car is awesome fast, and that time is great for your 1st time at a track. I'm sure you'll dial it in more. It's hard to get the perfect start balancing traction with all that power. We all have room to improve in that regard. I like what Speed said about hearing you race!

Awesome picture of RS's car!! I wanted to do that when I got home tonight but it was midnight ![]() Red - I don't think you can go wrong with either the CCW's or Forgelines. I went with a 20x10 all around on my car - Forgeline. Good to see another LPE brother

I agree 570, I checked into Gforce engineering and Hendrix engineering and they seem to be a ways out on them as far as production. There are a few prototypes being tested now. I think there may have been one on the LPE LS9 car?

man i love that see-through hood!! I wonder how long that glass/plexiglass/lexan will last with engine temps, beacause I'm sure that SC gets pretty hot.

That is all the same hood. There are three different inserts and it only takes 5 minutes to switch. One is the heat extractor another is the clear like the LS9 window and the last is a carbon fiber. I have the clear window and the heat extractor. You wouldn't believe the amount of heat that you could feel coming out of the hood when I had the heat extractor on. The new bumper will force cool air into the engine compartment and force it out of the hood. We are going to do some heat testing very soon to see how well this works. I am very confident it is going to make a huge difference. The website is acscomposite.com they also make oem hoods for GM and Ford.

It should last for long time Lexan polycarbonate resin is an amorphous engineering thermoplastic, characterized by ... scratch resistance, toughness, heat resistance, weatherability.

Thanks everyone! The red Devil looks good on the homepage.. it looks better in person!
I took the red devil for a RIP today... The 19's are an absolute blast on the street! It woke up the car with the shorter diameter tires..!!! It is definitely quicker with the tire change! I ordered another set of wheels from John at CCW today.. this set will be REALLY WIDE. We are trying something new and going to push the envelope.. built strictly for the autocross track. Hoosier's going on these ones, as that is all that will fit them for sizes. Offset's are crazy! He has to do custom machining for building this set.. There will be no others like them.. I have been discussing this wheel build with John for a few weeks now... John tried an experiment at the C5Fest with a RENTAL CAR - a 2010 camaro - on the autocross track with 18X11's all around. We are adding some extra width in the rear to put the power down coming out of the corners. Fronts will be 18X11 315/30/18 Rear will be 18X12 335/30/18 Tire diameter is 25.6.. Car is going to look ridiculous.. but it will work for extreme cornering on the autocross track.
