So you might want to reconsider that 500 deductible. If you are replacing the whole front facia, I bet it will cost quite a bit of coin. I could be wrong though, just following the logic of how damn expensive cheap pieces of plastic sell for.
believe it or not.....the facia is only $360.....of course you gotta get it painted too,.....and any other damage too.

BUmmer. When I pull in I just make sure the rear end is in the spot so the front is well away from obstacles

Ouch....that sucks. You just have to be careful bro. I've avoided these type of accidents just by being extra careful in those situations. Hope you fix it soon and looks great for you again. Peace!

I've noticed that mine, even not lowered, will 'scrape' when I reverse, but not on the way IN to that spot. Its kinda odd. I definitely try not to go far enough into go over a parking bump or curb.

I had that exact idea, got some off E-Bay, couldn't believe how many and at good prices.

The problem is the angle of these sensors. They need to be 18" above the ground, I am not going to drill the bumper and I don't have a front plate (I haven't been forced to mount it, yet). Putting them in the grill doesn't seem to work.

I will continue to work on it and will post something if I get it to work. So far I have only invested about $25.00.

Moultron - How much was your car lowered? The standard 1 inch by Pfadt/Pedders?

Once your car is lowered, you have to stop well in front of curbs. Even at factory height there are curbs that will do the same thing. I am sorry you had an incident. Hearing some one say you shoulda, coulda woulda doesn't help at all. Sorry.
