I heard several cars "broke" on the 1/4. What broke and what mods were installed on the car?

A few axels and a few smoked clutches. the axels that broke that I know of were vender cars who were pushing the limits. They had them fixed and up and running very quick... Other then that, I dont think anyone broke anything major.

My buddy broke his axle on a pretty much stock LS3. All he had done to it was a CAI. He was going down the 1/4 and shifted from 1st to 2nd and then bam. No wheel hop or anything, just a break. But he got it fixed really quick.

Vendors where there, he went and got a set of better aftermarket axles and one of the vendors that had techs there put them on for him. I think he got the ones I looked at they are rated at 1000HP.

I was thinking the same, my wallet. I actually didn't break anything, I had some things done by Livernois Motorsports and my car ran the best of 12.6 @ 111 MPH but ran consistant 12.7's all day. I made it down to the final 4 cars and was taken out by a supercharged car that ran a 12.3 to my non supercharged 12.7. Had a blast.
