She was tailgating you, thinking that you would instinctively speed up,and then give you a speeding ticket.Police have done that here,especially after dark.
Ironically,the first item on a printed ticket,is FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY.
I don't see much humor in this behavior.Even police are required to obey the laws they enforce .

I think Blackbean hit the nail on the head. And though they may be required to obey the laws they enforce, quite a few of them don't.....this story is a perfect example.

Called me a jerk but I would have thrown the brake light on for them.
No reason even an officer if he is not pulling you over to tailgate you since it's against the law, if i noticed it was an office I would pull over to the side of the road and see what they needed.
