They had these at Camaro5Fest and put them on for free! And they were discounted. I already had one and one my friends bought one at the fest.

STOKED!.......... I get my new hood put on today. It's a Ram Air hood designed to work with my CAI intake.

Order from a vendor, I guess they are more important.
All units are shipped in the order they are received. If Jannetty orders 50 units on 3/25 and you order on 4/1 his will ship first.

Ordered a C.A.I. intake this morning form Vector Motorsports. Looks like it just shipped (same day)! Price was right - $380 (plus $15 for shipping).

looks nice, however I've noticed that the ceramic coated tube gets very hot, seams that the stock plastic tube was some what cooler. not too sure how the ceramic coated tube works to help keep the heat off the intake, not too sure is its even able to prevent the heat soaking. I'll be getting some dyno runs some time next week, so I'll be posting the differences. car is making 385hp 362tq stock, hoping to get at least 10 hp gain or ill be

Here you go............

This is actually the bottom of the cowel induction hood which draws air from the back of the hood, but the opening is the same to mate up with the CAI intake.

The tube will get hot. This proves the ceramic is doing its job. If you touch a non coated tube it will be cold. This happens because the intake air draws the heat out of the tube. The ceramic coating helps reduce heat transfer therefore the outside of the tube will be hot while the inside remains cool.
