You might want to verify that "yes we are taking orders at retail value" is the same as MSRP.

this is from SIMI VALLEY, California, notice the deposit required and price

Dear Brian,

Today's the day! The 2010 Camaro is now available to order (production starts early 2009). Starting at $22,995,1 the Camaro isn't just a sports car, but a bold emotion sculpted in sheet metal that drops jaws and inspires envy in those not behind the wheel. Simply put, with its creased, taut lines and unexpected array of standard features, this cutting-edge performance machine is passion — perfected. Please contact Sharon Lorkowski, Internet Sales Manager, for more all details!

WIn order to take advantage of early ordering, we would need a complete credit application, drivers license, and a $5000.00 non-refundable deposit. We are selling at MSRP for those inquiring through the internet. I look forward to speaking with you further about all your options. If you would like to come in to build one to your specifications, just respond to this email or you can call me at (805) 527-2372 ext141 or my cell (818)720-1611.

Yours Sincerely,

Sharon Lorkowski

There's no need to run credit yet - it's months away from anyone actually purchasing the car.

Any dealer who suggests you need to run credit now is a joke.

As for the non-refundables, that's actually illegal. If you decide you don't want the car for any reason, they must give your money back. It is illegal to take money without returning goods or services.

Good guy

Ordered mine from Kevin @ Al Serra Autoplex in Michigan(I live in Georgia)
He was easy to deal with and seems to know the product.
Tried my local dealer what a joke Maxie Price Chevy(Hmm) they only asked for 15k down and 10k over MSRP without even blinking. I believe they said "well were doing it on the Corvettes"

Called Kevin since I saw him on the forum, props to him.

If a customer has really bad credit now...its probably not going to be much better by spring...so yes it does matter know in my book...one of my good friends just ordered one from me and the only reason I didn't check his credit is he's paying cash(.)...now I suppose if the color combo wasn't bad a dealer or two may take a chance but we are know pulling from our allication, not the original pool of 15,000 that is unless your looking at a V6 ?

There's no reason to do it so far in advance. Do it when the car comes. If they don't pass, simply sell the car to the next guy. Simple.

Besides, I am considering driving down I-71 from North Olmsted to place my 1SS order from you
