I do love track testing cars. I also have a wife and three daughters. My wife and daughters managed the photo shoot aspect of that track day. My daughters basically had two live 'Barbie Dolls' they dressed and posed all day. I am also smart enough to let them handle the 'Barbie Dolls' so they leave me alone long enough to play with my four wheel toys on track.

My daughters.

Chris Brannon is 'fitting' my six year old with a helmet for her 'test ride' on track while my wife, a photographer, a model and others watch.

When you have the support of your family there isn't much you can't do and mot days are are good days.

What great pics! Thanks for sharing these Pete. Camaros, a beautiful family, and track testing... what a great combo.

BIG TIME!! Things come and go, stuff is just stuff but the real value in life are people; the people you love and love to spend time with. You my friend are definitely a success; there are probably billionaires who can only wish they have what you have because what you have is priceless.

Five minutes away, up the interstate at Collinsville, IL is a group of hotels, restaurants etc, and even a large convention center if you would want to have something (GM displays, seminars, etc) indoors.

One of the best parts of having an event at Gateway is how easy it is to get there from almost anywhere, as several interstates intersect near there.

Of course, being near downtown St. Louis, lots to do.
I agree plus the track elevation is only 410' not bad for being in the middle!

I know I voted West, just becasue... (I'm from CA)

But seriously, Topeka is 45 minutes from my house and I would love to have you all in my backyard!! If you haven't conatcted them already, I can put you in contact with the Track owners for Topeka if you need it. They also own a much much smaller "corn-field" track here in Manhattan.

Let me know what you need done, Mods.

If you make me vote, I'm gonna vote East coast. Is there a compromise? Maybe a East Coast C5Fest AND a West Coast C5Fest? Of course there would have to be organizers for both sides. THEN, maybe a East coast - West coast shoot out every 3-5 years, located centraly.

You don't need to drive to the show. There were plenty of people who flew in and attended the fest. I plan on attending every one we have and if it's too far, I'll fly in and enjoy.

If I was on the west coast and we had it here again, I'd be pissed. Just sayin'. We don't want to divide our community. We have a special thing going here and we should be fair to all.

That being said, I vote Theodore, AL

But, really. The California guys already draw big crowds at their local shows. I'd love to meet those guys and hang out.

IMO, you would then turn one huge show into a couple big shows. They would take away from each other. Not saying I have an answer, but I don't like that idea.

I get the feeling the poll is going to be skewed considering "Central" was not an option from the start...

A poll like this needs to be set up as a "check all that apply" instead of a "pick one" evaluation.

There are several people on here who want to participate regardless of general location. We'll drive anywhere
