Yes, I voted for the East coast. But if it ends up in Texas, Arizona, California or somewhere do-able, we will drive out for it. But that's us, we have relatives in Texas, Arizona, Washingtion (state) and Michigan. So if it ends up in any of those Four states we will go.

There are still the cold hard facts, something rather terrific was started in Valdosta at SGMP! It would be a wise decision for the Camaro5 team to get another year or two under their belts on how things run before charging across the country and starting from scratch the second year out. Even the folks from the west coast can understand and appreciate that fact.

We all had to wait YEARS for the Camaro to come back yet there are still issues that need to be fine tuned. Chevy even asked for our input but we didn't get everything we wanted for the 2011. Perfection takes time.

I think everyone should be patient and wait another year or perhaps two. Then, when the Camaro5 team is ready, let them bring it to the West coast or Central U.S., running smoothly and without any glitches... a C5Fest that will be better than ever!

Gosh I almost feel bad about voting on this - dont want to split the gang - but East coast would be preferred for me - albeit anywhere from Florida to way up North... NC is kinda in the dead center of the East coast... literally and metaphorically

Its a tough one when some poor souls travelled 4.5k miles each way (!) to the first one - Yes I mean the men and women of the Royal Canadian Iron Butt brigade ;-)

I think there are enough people to have two events. One for the East and one on the West. Just space them out so one is early in the year where the weather is better sooner and have a later event for the second one. Twice the fun for those that want to travel and nobody gets left out.

If you want the fest in the west next year, like at Vegas or Arizona then dear god do NOT do it in June, July or August! You can fry eggs on the sidewalks it gets so hot. The temps in the shade can get between 110 and 120 degrees and when you walk out into the open sun it HURTS. There's nothing like stepping outside at midnight and it's still 100 degrees!

Have it in April or May at the latest. I don't know what the temps are like in Topeka or St. Louis during that time of the year but I've heard it gets really humid. There's no problem with humidity in Vegas or Arizona; there isn't any... at all lol.

Just a thought!
I still think Salt Lake has potential. Miller Mortorsports Park looks like a killer facility.

100% correct. No matter what we decide, we can't please everyone. We are going to do our best, but we hope you can all understand that we know some are going to not like our final decision. We have to do our best for the community as a whole. This last time around, we had people show up from everywhere....mainly the East coast and some central. Imagine if we did this again on the East coast this year...Sure, we could top 1,000 cars. But, anyone here think that the West coast guys get really pissed off and completely leave doing their own thing? Would GM want to go? Would vendors support them? ...all the while C5F2 would be going on again on the East coast? A split event would wear vendors and GM thin. Tons to consider.....

There are a ton of questions that we have gone through...and this IS the main issue we need to resolve before moving on.

Again, we are REALLY working on it. We need to solidify this FAST. We are trying. Bear with us and we'll get it figured out VERY soon.
