Heck, I was hesitant to let the Tint people drive it all of 10 yards.

But as far as Valet Parking goes, I don't think I could do it. Not yet, anyway. I don't mind making an entrance - but something about putting my RS in someone else's hands makes me feel all funny inside...
You mean your LT.

I'm more worried about someone dinging the doors from either mine or the car next to mine when they park it. But all the places I would use valet for around Seattle would be pretty upscale and a Camaro is chump change. What I mean by that is they park $100K+ cars all day long, so I trust them not making a scratch on my baby.

my bf refuses to valet his camaro, won't even consider it. and when possible, parks his car in any area where cars are not within a 2 mile radius of his, which usually means we have a little bit of a walk to the door...i tease but don't complain...it is his first love now.

I personally worked valet for a few years, and I always treated every car I drove with more respect than my own. But as far as the co-workers I had, well...let's just say they didn't have the same mindset.

As far as valeting, especially a camaro, I would save myself the worry and park it myself.

Negative. It's a pet peeve of mine. I really hate how they even put RS emblems on the cars. It isn't the model of car you have, it's an accessory package.

Actually with me it also depends. Let's say I was going to go have dinner at the Space Needle. There is no way I am parking that on the street in Seattle. It is more likely to get dinged then if I let the Valet guy park it in their private parking lot. I trust that more then numerous cars coming and going parked next to me on the streets or in paid parking lots. Now if I goto the mall, they do have Valet and probably would be okay. They drive it 20 feet to park it in a marked off area. But I'd rather park far away using up 2 or more spaces. I am just glad my wife is okay with it and rather I not get a dent. Least not while it's new. I'm sure in a year or two I will have some marks and be more like whatever.

But bottom line, it is an "RS."

One of those "We'll have to agree to disagree" things, I suppose.

That's exactly how my woman is. But I don't think she understands yet that the car might have "passed" her on the hierarchy....

No no, it's not an RS. My SS isn't an RS. It's just an SS with the RS package. Your LT is an LT with an RS package. I'd rather see LT and LS badges instead of RS. The dealer sticker calls mine an SS and yours an LT, but with the RS package. And if your was an RS, then my SS is an RS. I see it as people who put 'GT-R' badges on their car when it's not a GT-R, just this the manufacture is doing. Hopefully that's not confusing but for another thread.

Ummm yeah I always valet. Usually the place you are going where there is valet is a really nice establishment and get all types of expensive cars, a Camaro isn't that great to what they get as far as high end cars. I valet my camaro, my 100,000 plus M6 and any other car. This isn't Ferris Bueller people.. lol

No f**king way dude. Let a complete stranger drive my SS? Hell, I will not even let friends or family drive it. If someone asks and I say yes and they crash it, I will be angry. If someone asks and I say NO, they will be angry. Better them than me.

In my years of owning cars that I didn't trust letting other people drive...be it classics, one-of-a handful produced, or just too damn powerful...I have never let a valet park my car. I just feel it isn't my job to provide temptation to someone that may succumb to it. I'm not saying that there aren't some really good valets out there that understand the value of a car...it is just my fear of the outcome of damage to my vehicle.
