They do but the amount GM pays back to the dealer is no where near what the dealer would make if they sold the car at MSRP.

I found a local dealer who's general manager and sales manager are great and willing to work with me. They only had three allocated and i got the last, but they are gonna get me whatever discount they can and put it in writing. For right now they don't know what the exact pricing will be but anythings better than MSRP.
anyone in NY thats wants a dealership to work with, check out

Got this back today. . . We really won't know anything till the time comes. Guessing it will probably depend on anticipated demand in sales and the economy at the time.

Comments : I have ordered the 2010 camaro from a local dealer. Will this vehicle qualify for the GM Supplier Discount under your program? I understand that dealers may make their own decision, but will it fall under the scope of the discount program? Thanks in advance!

Looks like you guys asked the main GM FAQ people. I logged onto the supplier site and sent them the question and here's the exchange...

Hello [name],

We have no information as of yet on if the discount will be offered for this vehicle. You will need to wait until the vehicle is available then you can check the website to see if it is eligible.

Sincerely
Laurie McNeil

Subject: I have a general question about the GM Supplier Discount Program

I am interested in pre-ordering a 2010 Camaro. Will GM be extending the supplier pricing to the Camaro? I understand that the end decision is up to the dealer but will GM be honoring it from their end?

The link it provides says nothing of 2010 models....be careful. It also says Dealers are not required to participate.

Our General Manager has received no notification from GM on Supplier / Employee pricing yet. Maybe like most dealerships, he will not say anything until he sees it in writing.

Yea. Right now the only chevy they're not offering it on is the ZR-1. I think they've historically only placed restrictions on Corvettes (which get almost a 10% discount!!!), not even other new model cars. So it'll be interesting to see if they do offer it on the much anticipated Camaro. Maybe they'll do something lame and do it for the LS/LT but not the SS?

Several of the dealers I called in my area said straight up that they wouldn't honor supplier for a while. A few said there was pretty much no way GM would do it and that GM never does it on new vehicles so it was a moot point. I checked and the Traverse (just released like a month ago) is eligible for it. I wish I realized that when I was calling around What is odd is that the dealer that said they'd do supplier was the only one that didn't require a deposit. It's an hour away so I gotta make some time to make the trip over. I really wish GM would just release or the info get "leaked".

I ordered from the first dealer for 2500 over MSRP due to a misunderstanding on the phone and the excitement of being the first to order the car from that dealer on the 14th of October. After I tried to get supplier discount and got rejected I looked around. I found a dealer willing to sell for MSRP, so I went back to my first dealer to try and get them to match. They offered to refund my deposit in two minutes. After I got my refund I drove 45 minutes down the road and pre-ordered the camaro at MSRP. This dealer made the deposit non-refundable. He gave me a written quote and the deposit came off of the price unlike the first dealer, which the deposit was the markup.
