Well I sent my car to the dealer this monring to have them look at. I mentioned when I called them about the new pressure plate and clutch part # that i read is the fix. I doubt they do it. Theyd probably rather wait 6 months when my warrent is out and charge me for a new clutch LoL..
Im at 10,966 miles..

I ask because my parts are in and when I mentioned the new throw out bearings, the service guy didn't exactly know. He thought it would be in the new clutch parts already. I'd prefer not to make this a comeback visit Tomorrow is install date.
It is the bearing on the front of the slave cylinder. They come together as an assembly.

gettin fixed'

Dealer agreed to a new clutch and pressure plate. When they looked inside the bolts had backed off and caused some wear. they are going to use thread lock when they assemble the new one. I was having the same problems, smell, clutch only coming half way up. We will see if this fixes it. My suggestion is get it to a dealer NOW, they are aware the clutch has issues and with all the 'feel good' over the loan pay off, they should replace any legitimate clutch problem.

There is a TSB on that problem.

Yes, they didn't know about it 'till I mentioned it, but actually the service dept. responded great and gave me no hassle what so ever.

And by the way, the 'feel good' I mentioned is well deserved by GM. Well done.

I would call them. I took mine to the dealer and they kept it all day. They said they were "about to call" me when I called late afternoon. They did nothing! Said all they did is drive it to see if would happen. Hmmmm... I guess THAT takes all day.

The dealer says to drive it until it happens again and call a tow truck. I bought this car for my wife to drive. I'll be pretty pissed off if she has to call a tow truck when we just spent this kind of money on a new car and the dealer doesn't want to prevent it.

The clutch has stuck about 5 times already.

Boy that would tick me off.... Can you go to another dealer???? This could be a safety issue of not being able to get out of the way if need be.

My dealer had 3 different people drive it and put 15 miles on the car with no luck. Of course I couldnt get it to stick either when they rode with me. So they are doing nothing at this time but documenting it! Service dept. manager acted like the time and money for the Clutch kit was coming out of his check and said he couldnt find a single issue from GM on this problem!

Yup... I'm going to use the S work....SAFETY. If the car can't perform in a safe manor, I don't want the wife driving it. GM has always been good about my warrentee issues. Funny how some dealers will replace with revised parts and others don't have any idea about it. If GM is making a revised part, why don't they tell the dealers about it? GM.... It's TSB or recall time. Don't be like Toyota!

well told him in last 3 months only happened 3 times.. so chances it happens when he test driving is slim. Plus clutch pedal pops up for me after a sec or two when I let go of gas..
My dad said if they do nothing in a week bring it back and say it did it again. and bring things here online showing someone saying dealer replaced clutch and it fixed it.
