I'll bet if the next Camaro5 fest was in Cali, Arizona, or Nevada, we could get Leno to come out. Imagine what he'd bring with him! I'm sure somebody on this board knows him, or knows someone who knows someone. Hell, he owns a Camaro. He might even have a phantom login on the board!

And then do a "man on the street" video of the fest that he airs on his show? Sure I could see that, easily!

I think the tug of war is going in the wrong direction. The West coast can pull as many vendors as the East . Yes we had Stillen, Hotchkis, Edlebrock, Vortec, Hurst, Defenderworx, RK Sport, KW Springs, and several others at our little meet. We also have Eibach, Brembo, Magnaflow, Henessey, dozens of wheel companies and top designers and shops all in just the So Cal area. However, the purpose of Camaro5 Fest, or at least should be, is to pull as many of our group and cars together in one central area to celebrate, show off and shop. To do that the middle of the country is best. Kansas, sounds good as to not bing so far for our Candian members as well. The first one was good or even great, lets make the second annual amazing. I know we would be pulling a might chain of Camaros from So Cal and by the iterests of our neighbors up North and Arizona, Nevada, they would be righ in tow.

If those who went to the first fest want to go back there next year and relive the glory, go for it! Nobody is stopping you. But don't expect that the entire rest of the country is going to just sit back and say: "We wanted to go but couldn't because it was too far away but sure! It's okay for us to have nothing official because you people had such a wonderful time the only thing that really matters is you have that exact wonderful time again year after year...just you guys. The rest of us will be quiet and pretend we don't matter because it's all about you guys."

I voted central because I want EVERYBODY to have a reasonable chance at meeting together from not only the U.S. but Canada as well. This includes ALL THE PEOPLE who went to SGMP. I want everybody to be able to get together. It's really sad to see some of the posts coming from a small number who seem to care about no one but themselves.

I'm also astonished at the complete lack of faith and confidence in the organizers who did such a great job with the first fest, to be able to have a second one SOMEWHERE ELSE and have it be as fun if not even more so than the first one. They'd never done one in Valdosta before either yet looked how it turned out. People don't think now that they have some experience they can't do better next year? And also now that they've proven themselves you don't think GM and other vendors haven't noticed and aren't going to start making plans early to attend the next one? Now that they know what these guys and this member community can do, there WILL be a strong vendor presence no matter where they have the next one.

Geez have some faith! A west event will pull mostly the west and midwest the way the east event pulled mostly the east and midwest. A midwest event would pull everybody from everywhere. I would love to have it in the west but I'm not being selfish and voting that way because I'm considering that OTHERS might like to go too, so I voted central.

What he said!

Bring it back to Valdosta GA and make it bigger and better next year. Improve on what you have, don't start over some where else. Thats how F-Body Gathering has been running now for 14 years its always in Atlanta. Thats how Daytona Bike week in Florida is the premier bike fest in the country. They stayed where they started and improved on it each and every year. Hope the people that decides this stuff will listen and take notice.

I don't think it really matters where it's held as long as the weather is good people who want to be there will plan to go as soon as they announce the date. I would definitely plan to go again no matter where it is. It just may take a longer vacation.

I'm certain "the people that decide" are listening, and will make the best choice they can from the options available... WHEN it's time to start putting plans and ideas into action. There's a lot to take into consideration, and some of it will change between now and then.

Personally, I vote that the 2011 fest be held in Topeka. This has nothing to do with personal driving distance, because I'd gladly drive 1200 miles (again) to either coast. I just think a more central location is the most fair, and Topeka has a full road course instead of just an autocross in a parking lot. Just my .02 though.

Im from Kansas (living in Cali..) and I agree.. Topeka would be great. They have a VERY nice speedway there and the area is actually decent. (Dont go any further west in Kansas tho) lol. Not to mention its pretty much dead center of the US. Plus.. i can visit family there.

I'm voting West coast but my 2nd pic would be Texas. It's pretty much the same distance for alot of States. Plus, they really know how to BBQ!!!!!
