true but it will be faster then the 4.6 hands down but what im saying is the cant make it too fast or it will hurt the sales of the faster mustangs....... and when the z28 comes out it will stomp the srt-8 and 5.0 maybe even a gt500

I have personally seen a bone stock 400 mile L99 run 12.90's, these are high 12 second cars from the factory. Just because people can't launch the car doesn't mean it's a 13 sec. car. I can't speak for the 5.0 obviously, but we'll see soon enough.

I have to say the looks of the engine compartment on the 5.0 puts the Camaro's to shame. The Mustang's 5.0 really looks sharp.

Well i have caught up here and its been very enlightening.. Still think Fords making the better overall cars, but if all i wanted was performance...it would certainly be a tough decision.

I think these magazines are forgetting the coolness factor of the Camaro. I was stuck behind a school bus making a stop this afternoon and when all the kids got out a bunch of them started pointing to my car, giving me the thumbs up and as they walked by a few of them yelled out that I was driving their dream car. Was pretty funny. Doubt Mustang owners get that kind of reaction.

I totally get that..however i usually avoid the ("kiddie factor" what im calling it for your example) when choosing..lol

i get that kind of reaction from adults when im out in the Galaxie. It gets annoying when every other person is yelling out how sexy/badass my car is and then asking me to rev my engine or asking me what my car has done to it when they usually dont have enough car knowledge to get into any kind of technical discussion to begin with........and lets not get started on the hordes of people who get all excited and want you to do burnouts

I got to give it to ford the 5.0 engine bay looks nice..

Real world 2011 Mustang track and dyno results (13.2@110MPH)

Evolution performance is taking their 2011 GT down the track. A few hours ago they posted that they were going to the track right then and would update shortly. They should be posting the runs anytime now, but unfortunately it'll be with 93 octane. However, I am very excited because we get some real drivers who know how to drive behind the wheel!

They are also going to dyno it.

I'm a bit premature in the posting but I'll update as soon as they post their numbers!

EDIT: initial run of 13.2@110 MPH
