*this is a joke*
We've made our decision on the location for the next C5fest.

It will be located in Bakersfield, CA.
We have a 1/4 mile track and a roadcourse within 25 miles of each other.
Enough hotels to accomodate everyone...... I think........

and most importantly it is closely located for me.
So it is very convenient.
I won't even have to miss school.
That's the most important part of this country-wide event..... that it accomodates me personally.........

Hope to see everyone there. Can't wait.....

*joke over*

Its also hotter and at a higher elevation. On typical day spring day, it will have a higher DA than Gateway will. But it doesn't really matter, since the cars are racing each other. So the conditions will be the same for everyone no matter where C5 fest is.

Firebird is a great facility. They could easily handle C5Fest. The tough part is that it is still very south, so you will lose a bunch of the northern crowd. It's impossible to please everyone.

A static central location has numerous benefits. It would lend itself to a base level of consistency. When people can plan for a particular location during a particular time of year, it becomes both successful AND repeatable.

The vast majority of the C5 community would be within a 2 day drive, meaning geographically they have the ability to go every time. Circumstances for each individual is beyond the control of C5, so no matter how good they are, that CANNOT be planned for.

The big question is do you want C5Fest to be known and recognized as multiple regional events or one national event?

Not an easy answer, and it can't be both, but that IS the #1 question.
