Now it'd be nice to get some same day & time comparisons between the SS and GT done by the same drivers. Hopefully a performance shop steps up and does it, witness two drivers taking turns in both cars.

The new stang better be in the mid to high 12's...if not there's something seriously wrong.At first most of the magazines said the SS was running 13.0-13.4 and we all know better than that.

12.7 was maybe a little quicker than will become the norm.

.1 in the 60' has just about ALWAYS resulted in .2 off of the 1/4. And when I've had wheel hop in the Cobra and my old 93 5.0, i would lose ~2 mph or so. I don't know how bad this guys wheel hop was, maybe he just powered right through it, i dunno.

looks like the 5.0 should be seeing 12.8's on better prepped days and better than that in better air.

yup, this confirms it. the camaro and the mustang is a drivers race. With a very slight edge to the mustang for its gearing. In any case it is not the "blow out" some mustang fans was claiming it would be.

edit: patiently waiting to see the mustang pull a 12.6 in the 1/4 mile by the mags as was stated it would be. (i can't remember who posted that though)

We are glad we could help you get a muscle car with enough horsepower to truely be called that. Its just funny that ford being the best at everything "as we have all been told" had to have GM stomp it in the pony car arena to get you the car you really wanted!

I like how you're ignoring terminator. Is it the cost? The 04 GTO MSRP'd for just as much as the 04 cobra. Which one was faster? It was really close wasn't it

You guys are being ridiculous. This is ONE pass. ONE. it ran a low 13 @ 110. Realistically, we could see a high 12 as the average or a low 13 as the average. This really doesn't change anything. It's THE FIRST PASS from a car that had under 100 miles on it. Jesus christ guys, think.

I am still not seeing the mustang as a muscle car, it uses vtec ........ ive always compaired them with the imports.

who cares about camaro vs vtec mustang, the real question is what is the 370z gonna do to gets its mustang killing crown back!
