Moose, what happened to the Zaino Borderfree towels, I no longer see them listed on their website, or am I just looking over them?

sorry have another question. I am having my car completely sanded and 6 coats of clear sprayed on. two days after that it is being trailered and going to texas. When can I zaino it and how should I take care of all the grime that will be on it after I arrive in tx. I don't believe I can zaino it fresh out of the paint booth

![]() Personally, I'd wait at least 1 week before doing anything. ![]() After that, I'd begin with a good bath, followed by claying, and ending with a coat of Z5 and/or Z2. Ed |

Moose,
I ordered my first Zaino product today. I was impressed by the posts and the pictures and I'm looking forward to putting it on my 2010 Camaro. My first question, (may have more later) is when I bought the car I had a product called Perma-seal applied on it. Web site is Permasealwax.com I don't know if you have heard of it or not but, what kind of prep work should I do before applying Zaino? Should I clay? Any ideas how to get road paint off the front bumper? (They were painting the lines on the interstate and I have some small droplets on the front bumper.) Thanks in advance. And thanks for sharing your knowledge in these threads it is much appreciated. Red Jewel RS |

Ok, first let me just say all of my old cars got sent through the car wash if anything....With my Camaro, I love her a little (ok a lot) more and I want to be able to keep her clean and pretty....that said I'm clueless when it comes to what to use to keep her clean inside and out...
I'd like to keep it as easy and simple as possible - I enjoy cleaning her, but not really enough to spend hours at a time at it..I have been taking her through the carwash to keep her clean from the winter, but now that it's getting nice out I'd like to wash her by hand (since the carwash kinda sucks at getting everything off). I tried that this weekend but now she's covered in water spots and looks awful (I assume this is because I didn't towel dry her? I've never done that before to any other car and I've never seen water spots) so I guess - 1). Is there a lazy-man (girl) way to clean a car without having to spend hours at a time with 700 steps (and a ton of money, I'm a bit broke here)? 2). I assume that whatever I do towel drying is a must or I'm going to be stuck with these horrid water spots?? And 3). whats a good interior cleaner? No one in my family's ever had leather so...is there anything that works on the seats as well as the dash and etc or do I need two separate cleaners?? I'm a little hesitant to jump right into this process with 700 steps and waxing and etc since I'm used to doing the cheap lazy thing with my old rust buckets. I'd hate to screw up my car attempting to make her pretty...(trust me...it's possible )

I thought I knew what I was doing until I watched Junkman's videos, take the time to watch them in this thread:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59171 If you're wanting to keep it simple I would pay extra attention to using the foam gun, the 2 bucket wash method and using good microfiber towels to dry your car like this one - I love it: http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-106-a...ing-towel.aspx I hope this is helpful - you can't go wrong with the Junkman's tutorials. |

![]() For "prep work", I'd; 1. Wash with 'Dawn' to provide a good clean surface. *ONLY use 'Dawn' this one time!* 2. Clay 3. Polish As for the bumpers/paint, clay should remove most of the paint. I'm detailing a car right now, but I'll get back to you with more info. asap. Ed |

What can I use to dry my car with?
I have waffle weave towel but it isn't enough to get the entire car dry and it doesn't seem to do a great job, not that absorbent. I have searched for a 100% cotton towel, made in the USA but can't find one anywhere. frustrating. Any alternatives? or do you know where I can get the towels? thanks Kate |

A "tip" which might help in the drying process is the removal of the hose nozzle when rinsing....allowing the water to run over the surface will allow most of the water to "sheet" away. ![]() As for towels, I'm still looking for a replacement for the Fieldcrest towels I bought a few years back. :( One option for towels are the "blonde" towels offered from www.zainobros.com. Currently, they're not in stock, but I have a distributor who has a few remaining. They're small, but seem to work well. I'll keep you in mind and get back to you asap if I come up with an alternative to the cotton towels. Ed |
