Around town I really didn't take much of a hit at all in MGP ... the problem is how long you can keep your foot from hitting the floor ... remember as you increas HP your fuel requirements will increase when going WOT .. that being said if I stay out of it around town it is about the same as stock .. however once I get on it and depending how much it is definately a few MPG less around town but well worth it

hey there, lookie at my setup in my sig! I Dynoed 547 RWHP and had zero fuel issues at WOT right on past the line at the 1/4 mile at 118 mph and I risked it on the freeway to 220 (130 mph) , evrything is allright!

It's as silent as a stock camaro too, so no one is the wiser and cops don't have any reason to hassle me. I live near San Francisco so I have to worry about smog as well.
I thought the Procharger had a loud whistle sound at all rpm's.

If I baby it in 6th gear with cruise control I can manage 18 (i thought this would be higher).... but around town I am lucky to get 14, but this is absolutly directly related to the foot/WOT issue. I cannot stay out of it... ever. hahaha

You can buy a quieting gear for it, i forget if Mindz did or not. I have the larger Procharger and I think it has a pretty noticible sound, but the general car show crowd gives me mixed reviews... some say whoa... what a whine... some say.. huh thought it would be louder

Question: I plan on getting a s/c in a year or so and am wondering...whats a realistic hp rating on a s/c with 91 octane gas thats a daily driver?...here in california, 91 is as good as it gets and i dont particularly want to mess with meth or nitrous. I just want a clean cut f/i.

Any ideas?

Update: ls3 with CAI intake-borla exhaust installed
This is thread of the setup I'm going with.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80404

I'm about 40 minutes away from you so we're both screwed by emmisions, but the car in this thread is also a California car and can pass the emmissions tests. This car has DT shorty's and their catback exhaust, otherwise its bone stock. I've been in it and WOW!!! You would never know this car even had a supercharger on it, that is until you mash the go pedal.

I had no desire to add a water/meth injection kit to my car when its done either, but after seeing how they work and talking to Jeff@TPE, that is more than likely the way I'm going to go.

Plus, this kit looks SICK! Give Jeff@TPE a call and he can go over everything you need to know about what it takes to get you where you want to be. I spent 2+ hours at his shop a couple of nights ago after closing and got all my questions and concerns addressed. Great shop and awesome guy!
