This technique works GREAT, while its super weird to get used to. I have absolutely no blind spots in the Camaro with this set up. You basically think of you mirrors as one giant mirror, rather than 3 separate mirrors with different angles of the same thing. Like I said it awkward at first but totally worth it in the long run.

Correct. Blind spots in a passenger vehicle, even the Camaro are generally simply a product of poorly adjusted mirrors.

I have never had a problem when driving down the road with visibility, my only problem is when I am in a driving situation where I cannot see anything from the right rear corner of the car... the little triangle windows need to be larger.. that is my only visiblility complaint.

I've become very good at glancing over my left shoulder and spotting things through the rear seat porthole.

I've been using this setup since day one - absolutely no blind spots. I never ever look over my shoulder - no need to with this setup.

The only problem I struggled with a bit is if I have to get onto a road at a a sharp angle to the right - I now basically try to position my car at a right angle to the road I need to get onto so I can properly see out the right. Works great so far.

Saw this on the corvette forums

Don't know if this has been posted but there's a company making mirrors that rotate outward to show the blindspot when the driver turns on his signal. Haven't looked to see if it's compatible with the camaro but check it out.

instead of the round fish eye mirror. i went to the rectangular shaped one, and placed them vertically, so i can see my car in relation to the curb, also it allows me to see some of the blind area

I have the rectangular ones also, but I didn;t turn them 90 degrees. I can still see the curb and parking lines in mine.

LOL...that is true....
seriously though, it's a matter of getting your side mirrors set correctly, it will eliminate all blind spots. I still give a quick glance over the shoulder but in this car it doesn't matter, if the car next to you is in the "right spot", you can look over your shoulder all day...you won't see it.
