My runs of 12.70 or better are few and far between, but that doesn't mean they can be dismissed as a fluke. It shows what the car is capable of in ideal situations.
I didn't attend the 'Fest cause i couldn't get the time off. I will however be attending the Challenger Fest in KY and going head to head with the Mopars to compete for the top spot in stock category.
I guess I need to get up to the Challenger Fest to represent the A6's. I wandered on over to their site and a few of them want to race. They are going to check everyone's car in the stock class to make sure they are all totally stock which I think is great.

Its about a 15 hour drive from WPB, but i think it'll be worth it. Should be fun. We could use as many Camaros there as possible. Hope you can make it.

I felt like SGMP was "running slow" that day. I'm not knocking the track at all mind you.
Remember the temp was in the 80's and the humidity was pretty way up there. Factor in all those street tires wreaking havoc on the track, and I'l best most folks numbers were slower than they "normally" run.

At first I was disappointed that my bone stock car was outrunning my car that now has CAI, headers, high-flows, and catbacks with a tune by about 5 hundreths, but now that I really think about it, it was almost all in the 60 foot times and tire spin. I simply seem to have more power than the stock tires can handle, and the budget ran out before I could get the drag radials. When you've got that much tire spin, your times WILL be slower, even when the car is breathing better.

I would think that Camaro5Fest was a pretty good indicator as to what these cars can really do without being chipped, replacing the airfilter, stripped or putting drag tires on. Where else has this many stock camaros all raced at one track? What could these guys/gals be doing to their stock cars to make them over a second faster in the quarter mile than any of the stock manuals that posted their numbers after the fest?
I was thier at the fest and only made one decent pass of 12.906 at 110 on Saturday, Bone stock other than rear tire pressure. I was having clutch problems and only made a few passes since i was 13 hours from home. Even on my 12.90 pass my clutch pedal stuck halfway to the floor until i shifted 2nd gear. The weather wasnt the greatist as mentioned above for good E.T.s. My 12.90 altitude corrected to a 12.68 for the time i ran , to give you an idea what the conditions do to your times.

Sorry to hijack the thread but what pressure are you running your rear tires at the track?

On my 12.58 pass 32lbs and at the fest 24-25lbs.

Any time you have that many street cars going down a track the track will get slick.
SGMP did a great job at keeping the track working. Th DA was around 1400 most of the day & I still ran faster down there than I have at Atlanta Dragway.
My best pass at Atlanta is a 12.85 and I ran 12.79 on 3 pass's at SGMP.
I spun bad on one pass and still ran 12.92.

You've estimated right ! My 12.90 your 13.30 4 tenths difference or 4 car lengths , 1 car length = roughly 1 tenth in the quarter.
