I think it's supposed to come on with weight over 40 lbs, right? Not sure.
Definitely something's amiss here. I wouldn't mess around with that. Of course, my wife's windbag (I meant air bag) is usually active BEFORE she even gets close to the car....

Hmmm, like I said mine was reprogrammed and I have not had any problems. But I got to thinking about this and my car was built in Canada. I wounder if the guy programing the system put in 110 but it was set as Kilo's and that would translate into 50 LBS. Hmmm just a thought! I could be way off base here!

Sounds to me they just need to recalibrate the sensor. I work at a Toyota dealer and that's something quite common to have to do.

Damn, I was hoping this wasn't a common issue. I had this happen on my new 2011. I guess I need to take it to the dealer on Friday.

Dealer won't do anything about it! It's the way they're calibrated at the factory.

My car done the same thing needless to say my dealer waited until the car had 80, 000 to "find" the problem even though I reported the issue several times.

We have this problem with my wife (100 lbs). Dealer said it was suppose to activate at 80 or 85 lbs. They replaced the sensor and reprogrammed it, and it seemed to be ok for awhile. Now it is doing this again. Does anyone have any other ideas...I have told her to gain weight, but just keep getting evil stares back.
