That's actually not such a bad idea but the mods will do what they please. Personally I'd rather have it that the mods choose two tracks and let everybody vote, I mean the forum was done because of the love for an american car, we might as well vote it's the american, democratic way

Was in Las Vegas past weekend racing PSCA at the The Strip at LVMS. Had a chance to speak with Chris Blair (Vice President-Racing Operations) for Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Spoke to Chris in regards to the possibility of hosting the 2nd Annual Camaro 5 Fest. Chris took the time to check out our site and view C5 Fest threads. He was very impressed with the 1st Annual C5 Fest and would welcome C5 Fest to his track. The Strip is a 1st class facility and probably one of the best tracks on the planet and nobody knows how to host like Vegas.

We appreciate the effort. But please keep in mind that as a contract will have to be written between Camaro5 and the Track that we'd ask that you be careful when approaching tracks, and sounding like you are speaking on behalf of Camaro5... Ultimately we will have to negotiate with them and we'd like to keep the negotiating between them and us.

Again, Thanks for the effort. But this can sometimes cause confusion.

We rather our members let us know if you have a track in mind and let us run it down.

To far for alot of east coasters. That is almost a weeks drive. I think you would lose most of your folks going. I still think Central USA location or back to Georgia.

As Scott said, a Central location would be must likely the best case for everyone. Yes, it will be really close for some and "long" for others but truely would be best for the East and West coasters, this way it would be equal distances and hopefully more will so. Here in Michigan we have a "Blessing Of The Jeeps" that I have gone to every year and the first year there was just over 500 vehicles (just like C5 Fest) and now just a couple years in and last weekend there were over 1200 vehicles the showed up. I believe that C5 Fest will EXPLODE next year if it is "within reach" for both the East and West coasters.

Kansas city would be good, if I remember the track is up near the airport with plenty of hotels. I just keep thinking of Topeka do to the dragstrip and a configurable road coarse at the same place. To me that would rock.

Statistically speaking, I would tend to believe that the density of Camaro's per square mile in the U.S. correlates to the density of people per square mile. There may be fluctuations in this by a couple percentage points, but on the whole I don't see this being very far off the mark.
