I did this today. Works exactly as indicated. As soon as a car leaves your rear view mirror it appears in your side view mirror.

It is kind of hard to get used to not seeing your own car's rear quarter in the side view mirror though.

This technique works GREAT, while its super weird to get used to. I have absolutely no blind spots in the Camaro with this set up. You basically think of you mirrors as one giant mirror, rather than 3 separate mirrors with different angles of the same thing. Like I said it awkward at first but totally worth it in the long run.

^^^ weird that was a car and driver article. I was taught that in Driver's Ed when I as 16 (almost 10 years ago). I couldn't drive any other way.

Lotsa good advise here. For me, I added the round mirrors to the lower outside corner of both mirrors. I got hooked on this approach years ago.

I used the little stick on mirrors too, mostly out of paranoia. I feel more comfortable now after 6000km that i could probably take them off. I do make sure with the proper shoulder check, somthing i don't do in my bigger vehicles. allways usin the mirrors to check for cops sneakin up too. In any case it was worth 4 bucks for the mirrors.

I have no trouble seeing while driving, adjusting your mirrors the right way takes care of that, i can see everything, you just have to use your mirrors instead of looking, just have to get used to it. I only have problems backing up and seeing the front end as much as i want to. I try not to put myself in too many back up situations.

There's no need to buy any aftermarket products. Adjust your mirrors properly, as has already been posted, and you're good to go. No need to turn your head, just check your mirrors. Simple.

My mirrors remote control. I adjust one or both of them in when backing up and back out for driving...no big deal.

try that in an Fbody.

Hmmm, I never have read anything like this before, surprising though, this is how I always set up my mirrors. It really works too.

I try not to myself but you live in the south, you know how it is. Every day from May to October has a 20%+ chance of rain. Sometimes you just get caught in it...
