Hey Raul, really nice car and the keys make a great background for the pictures. Can you bring it up the the Tower Shops in Davie on a Friday night and show it off? There are usually around 300 cars on a nice no rain Friday night. Let me know.

We both installed our aeroforce gauges, and I put on my gill decals and gas cap. Now she's all ready for her newly painted parts. They should be done this week. I'll post pics when I get her all put back together.
I cant wait to see your car, will be interesting to see all that work finished up. I know you have been coy with the details so I guess I will have to wait for the pics. Sorry to hear about the snow, we have actally been wearing jackets up til today. El Paso is usually in the high 80's in April, Friday's high was about 50 and windy.

I bought the Nitto NT05's for a road racing tire. It is a good option if you are running 20's. I will get to find out how they run this coming Friday. I know some corvette guys running them and they like them on the track and they are reasonably priced. I have heard the Bridgestone RE-11's are good as well but they only go up to 19's. Other than full racing tires like hoosiers or something, that is your best bet in my opinion.

The Nittos and Bridgestone RE-11 seem to be the tire of choice, short of a dedicated track tire.

NP - I'll let you know how it goes on Friday. I have the race knob from MGW and I really like it.

I knew you guys were running the RE-11 and I looked at that tire first but they don't come in 20's. Will be testing out the suspension on Friday - I'm looking forward to it!!

It is lowered about 1.5" in the front but left just a touch higher in the rear. I havent had any rubbing or anything as far as that goes and Ive hit some corners at about 65. I'm going to the track on Friday, so I should really be able to find out.

I still need to do this mod on mine. I have been waiting to get part #'s and stuff and will do it myself. Do you have a good thread on what you did, I don't want to screw anything up. I just changed the brake pads and went to the RBF600 fluid yesterday as well.

I installed my separate clutch reservoir at the same time I had the LPE clutch put in.

I have not changed the fluid over to something better yet - still running Dot 3 fluid. Some fluid was changed when we separated the reservoirs... I still don't have 2K miles on the car yet.. LOL

I bought a Ford Expedition slave cylinder and reservoir (I threw out the slave cyl part) - it was $81.00. I got tired of waiting for the $19.00 GM part on national back order... I wanted one to put in at the same time as the clutch. Get the reservoir out of a Junkyard for $5.00. They are pretty hard to find, unless you know a good parts person that will spend the time to locate one for you.

I checked all over today and the GM one is still on back order. I may have to hit the junkyards.

I waited 6 weeks for the GM one and never got it.. I cancelled the order and went to Ford and paid 4X what it shoulda cost.

I still can't believe it's that hard to get... and I already got mine. Mine came in like this: LOL

Didn't find a complete explaination and figured others here might want info, so chose not to PM you.

post #9 talks about good way for fluid swaps.... braided hose is a nice touch!
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=clutch+fluid

Here's Mtcwby's thread with pics
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=clutch+fluid

Since you already flushed system to RBF600 your almost done.

1) Choose location for reservoir.... I drilled holes where shock tower had less layers of metal and used stainless bolts and thick nylon washers which I sanded down to get the angle I wanted. Also coated drilled area with spray Galv to prevent rust. Mtcwby made a bracket and basically made the angle adjustable. *** His clutch fluid line reached, mine had to be extended about 2 inches since I mounted higher and out of the way (which worked better with where LPE installed the Supercharger antifreeze reservoir). You might want to just replace entire hose and skip extending with more clamps - much cleaner look.

2) Empty brake reservoir with syringe or turkey baster type tool.

3) Protect area from spilled brake fluid, then remove clutch fluid line and cap reservior outlet with: A)rubber cap rated for gasoline or brake fluid OR B) short piece of hose with stainless bolt & clamp. (I used a rubber cap, but it's deteriorating with brake fluid and I haven't found a suitable replacement anywhere that's rated for brake fluid - so will persue short hose and bolt method for the meantime)

4) Replace clutch fluid line with longer one if needed..... suck majority of fluid out with smaller tube and syringe, or pull off and drain to shop towels. Install new one, but fill carefully with tube inserted and fill from bottom of tube without pushing air bubbles into it.

5) Attach to new reservoir, keeping a slight uphill grade so bubbles can't accumulate in the line

6) Fill reservoir, then pump clutch about 30 times. Suck fluid out of reservoir and tube like Mtcwby did if you want more fluid changed, then refill. Swap fluid like this 3 times. Motul is compatable with the DOT 3 so a perfect 100% change isn't needed.

Nice write up Blue. I'll add a picture of mine since the hood is off and it's easy to photograph/see. We used a piece of adhesive foam to level it out. I am wondering which brake fluid would be better to go with, the Motul RBF600 or the ATE Blue. We got lucky on our reservoirs, since we ordered them back in December or January before all the backorder. It still took a while, but at least we got them. Name: IMG_0482.jpg
