It must be the heat shields. I'd love it if they were like the old 5.0s' equal length ones, but I don't see that happening. I think there's too much heat lost from the tubes before getting to the cats'. If U can take my shields off though, I am If I didn't have to worry about smog and law enforcement I'd get some LTs, but that's not going to happen with this car.

I agree... they don't look worth much.

I'm wondering, are those the shorties on the LS3 on page 1 also? if not, they look as good or better than the picture of the 'headers'

the dovetail looks awesome

Those shorties are stainless with heat-shields. You see the shields. I'm gonna guess they're close to $800. Before you piss-n-moan about that price, investigate SS exhaust.

Don't asume they're worthless just because you think they're ugly, you may end up with egg on your face.

I think it's really cool that GM is making it available to almost recreate both concept cars.
Silver 2SS/RS with IOM accent peices through GMPP
or
IOM 2SS/RS vert (2011) with cyber gray strips and 21" cyber gray wheels through GMPP
Hopefully they odder a white interior with the vert.

If you don't like it, you don't have to buy it - especially when you have no data to support your assertions. Besides, some people aren't lucky enough not to have to remain compliant within smog laws.

Am I reading this right. The LS3 for the camaro is now 430 horse, and 444 torque just like the Vett.

Shhhh! Don't tell people that. It's only got 422hp in the Camaro.

Did anyone think that the LS3 would actually put out different numbers just because they put it in one car instead of another?
