i buy the GM camaro jacket and i wear it to work one day. co-worker goes "why didnt you buy a ferrari jacket like mine!??" i go "my camaro is parked outside, where is your ferrari parked!??" he shuts up... /end

dude hes just bsing with you. chill out. i do this all the time with my friends. if any of them ever get a camaro i will still do it because its fun to give each other a hard time. i had a red cobra. my buddy buys a black one. i say its nice but to bad the black paint is so heavy and slow. its just for fun.
if he is serious, bust him good on the chin. if hes really your friend he will thank you because it sounds like he needs it.

My boss and I have some friendly banter going back and forth. He had to go buy a used Corvette a month after I got my Camaro. He jokes that his is faster and I laugh and say yeah but I paid less and it looks better.

Just brush it off if he is indeed a friend. Don't lower yourself by busting on his Honda or smack talking the guy with the SRT8. People do not like my BMW (I get called a prick or a snob because I have a BMW...I just honestly like the car, but I do not care what they say) and I let it slide. No big deal. If everybody liked the same thing, this world would be boring.

One of my best friends is a hardcore VW guy (loves 60's and 70's VW, and owns one early Beetle, and old Squareback, and a 2001 GTI) and is constantly talking crap about Camaro and Chevy in general- knowing that I'm a Chevy guy, he only does it around me.
Now I like VW (the older ones in particular) but, needless to say I dump all over VW when he's around too. It's all in fun, nobody really takes it seriously. But if ur buddy only talks sh_t when you're not around, then maybe he's not really your buddy...

^ I agree.
It's a bit different, but I drive an S10 and I get the kids who drive chargers, or camaro V6s bragging to me about how nice their car is (when their parents just gave it to them), and I still ignore it thinking that there will be the day when I can get them back. |
