Wow, I like everybody's passion. Personally I think the New Camaro is making history; re-writing it, in fact. I loved my 77' V8. I didn't consider it a muscle car though until I took time, and money, to give it muscle. My V6 feels the same. I got it because it's what "I" wanted. The same for all of you. I figured I would, in time, do the same with this car--invest some time and a bit of money and make it my personal "muscle car". You all do the same and keep lovin you Camaros.

What about Leno's twin turbo? 425 hp isn't muscle?

I wouldn't call the V6 Camaro a muscle car.

That statement is not meant to take anything away from the Camaro though.

Tech threads get nothing.

This site is full of bench racers.

Read the rules people. Respect and no personal attacks. :troll:

Personally, I consider the camaro a muscle car by my own definition... Notice no models about it. They make different versions for a reason. You won't find many 6 cylinder cars with 300+ horsepower unless they're made for performance... so they fit the bill as well.

the V6 is pushing out more power then most of those muscle car V8's did back in the day. I dont think you can really compare new and old like that. There are just too many variables. I would call it a modern day muscle car, given the fact that everyone is trying to be all economical, and emissions safe. NEW ERA PEOPLE. Fact is.. Camaro is Camaro. Always has been a muscle car, always will. Dont bash someone for getting something more affordable. Some of you people are absolutely ridiculous.

I really don't like the "the v6 makes more power then old muscle cars" thing. Yeah, that's a cool fact, but it's like saying 'an iPhone has more computing power then old computers the size of rooms' or 'an f/a-22 is faster then a f-86'. After 50 years of technological advancement, you'd hope it'd be faster!

Saying the V6 is a muscle car because it's faster than 40 year old muscle cars is like saying a Honda Accord is a sports car because it's faster than 40 year old sports cars.

Not saying that the V6 is not a muscle car (my mind's not made up), just saying it's a lame argument.
